  • We address the inclusion of people with physical disabilities in the educational and work spheres. It is assumed that inclusion contributes to the creation of a more diverse and egalitarian environment. This reflects values of respect, valuing differences and combating discrimination. Considering that the process of congenital disability generates feelings, emotions and psychosocial implications, the present research aimed to understand the impacts of contextual and cultural aspects on the life trajectories and subjectivity of women with congenital or acquired physical disabilities in early childhood. The specific objectives are: i) to understand the life trajectories of women with physical disabilities, explaining how they interpret themselves in the face of their own disability; ii) identify possible relationships between life trajectories and the school and work contexts in which they lived, taking into account the participants' perception of the inclusion process itself; and iii) analyze the impacts of accessibility barriers for these people in the face of disability. We carried out qualitative, exploratory research and used semi-structured interviews as a data collection instrument. Ana and Amélia's reports helped us in the construction of our indications, favoring reflections based on Life Stories. These interviews were transcribed and analyzed using Content Analysis , allowing the creation of four categories: i) Prejudice and intersectionality:
narratives of inclusion and exclusion of women with disabilities; ii) Gender and disability: intersections and perspectives; iii) Accessibility at work: (re)significations between insertion, inclusion in the search for professional recognition; and iv) School accessibility: constructions and setbacks in the experiences of disability. It was noticed that congenital disability is inserted as a striking factor in the lives of these people, taking into account feelings, emotions, anguish, suffering, and in return, recognition, belonging and (re)significations in the face of the disability itself. The gender factor, ‘being a woman’, provided enabling factors, in relation to work, leisure, school and society. Work was experienced as a driver of subjective and social belonging. However, for the most part, this environment was named in an apathetic way, based on reports that express prejudice and
professional devaluation. In view of accessibility, the precariousness of the ability to build a relationship of belonging was considered. It is considered that the research contributed to the reflection and understanding of subjective factors related to the life history of people with disabilities, enabling new perspectives for new and more in-depth studies on the subject.

  • The evolution of the service sector in Brazil has been driven by processes of urbanization and modernization. Over the decades, a notable diversification has been observed, ranging from traditional activities to specialized segments such as technology and healthcare. Globalization and technological advances have served as catalysts for challenges and opportunities, significantly impacting the labor market. The recent economic crisis in Brazil, intensified by the Covid-19 pandemic, led to an increase in unemployment and accelerated the growth in demand for services. Due to high demand, what is observed is people working exhaustively, with low remuneration, without the support of companies. This situation reflects the lack of labor regulation and precariousness in the activities carried out. Worker exposure to such factors can influence the onset of burnout syndrome, which is recognized by social security law as an occupation-related illness. This study aimed to investigate the associations between sociodemographic and occupational factors (especially quality of working life) and burnout syndrome in app-based and fixed-location motorcycle delivery riders. The sample consisted of 101 motorcycle delivery riders from the cities of São João del-Rei, Barbacena, and Barroso in the state of Minas Gerais, ranging in age from 18 to 54 years (M = 30.1; SD = 8.25), with the majority being male (95%). Participants responded to three instruments: the Burnout Syndrome Inventory (BSI), Quality of Working Life Questionnaire (QWLQ-bref), and the Sociodemographic and Occupational Questionnaire. The results showed that the prevalence of burnout syndrome was 24.8% among motorcycle delivery riders, considering evaluation criterion 1. When criterion 2 was applied, the prevalence was 15.8%. It is worth noting that cases classified by criterion 2 represent professionals more severely affected by the syndrome, showing more pronounced impairments. This is because this criterion includes low professional accomplishment in the evaluation of respondents from the BSI. Through the student's t-test, it was found that the burnout group exhibited lower levels of Quality of Working Life (QWL). The variables Negative Organizational Conditions (NOC), "having children at home," the physical domain (QWL), "last vacation," and "motivation" were predictors of burnout syndrome in the professionals who composed the sample. Thus, it is concluded that this research was exploratory and innovative, being pioneering in the investigation with this target population, as studies evaluating the relationships between sociodemographic and occupational factors associated with burnout syndrome in motorcycle couriers were not identified in the literature, thus contributing to the advancement of the existing knowledge in the field. Therefore, new research with larger samples and from different regions of the country becomes necessary, aiming for greater internal and external validity of the results, as well as better preparation of companies in the service sector for prevention, identification, and treatment strategies for burnout syndrome, aiming to improve the quality of working life for motorcycle delivery riders, thus avoiding losses caused by worker absenteeism due to illness.

  • The prevalence of psychiatric disorders in the global population is high, with a significant increase in the number of people diagnosed with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia can be considered one of the diseases that most compromises the individual's health, significantly impacting the family’s role in providing care. These families play the role of caregivers without having the necessary support and preparation, which results in a decrease in their quality of life. Given the decrease in the quality of life of these families, there is a need to develop research on this topic. However, studies in this area are scarce, especially in Brazil, which can be explained by the absence of validated instruments that specifically assess the quality of life of family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Quality of Life Scale for Family Caregivers of Schizophrenia Patients (S-CGQoL), developed in France and adapted to Brazil. The study involved 248 family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia who responded to a structured interview in which the S-CGQoL, the abbreviated version of the World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOLBREF), the Burden Interview (BI), the Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS), and the Satisfaction with Life Scale (ESV) were applied. The results indicated that the Brazilian version of the S-CGQoL presents adequate evidence in terms of construct validity and internal consistency of the instrument. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) confirmed the presence of seven factors, with adequate fit indices (X²/gl = 1.87, CFI = 0.933; TLI = 0.917 and RMSEA = 0.059), corroborating the factor structure of the original scale. As for internal consistency, the values of Alpha and Omega were both 0.86 for the global scale. The correlation between the S-CGQoL score and the WHOQOLBREF score was positive and significant (r=0.69; p<0.05). The same was true for the results of the correlations between the S-CGQoL scores and the scores of the ESV (r=0.66; p<0.05) and SHS (r=0.36; p<0.05) scales. As for the BI scale, the correlation between the scores was negative and significant (r=-0.48; p<0.05), as expected. Therefore, the S-CGQoL is an adequate and important instrument to be used in the assessment of the quality of life of family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia.

  • This thesis discusses the concepts of sublimation and sinthome in psychoanalysis. This is theoretical research in psychoanalysis. Our objective in this work is to understand if there is any relationship between these two concepts and the reason why Lacan stopped using the concept of sublimation, already well elaborated in his teaching, and started to use the concept of sinthome when dealing with the case of the artist James Joyce. To this end, we start from a thorough investigation of Freud's work with the intention of mapping all the significant points in which Freud addresses the concept of sublimation as well as its conceptual articulations. In the same way, we investigate Lacan's works up to his VII seminar, in which he brings his main definition concerning sublimation, the one that places sublimation as the process, which consists in raising the object to the dignity of the Thing (das Ding). Das Ding is an object that is forever lost. It is the lost object of human history, a fundamental concept for understanding the problem of sublimation in Lacan. We have discussed sublimation as what gives the drive its true status. Sublimation is on the side of creation, not restoration. In a second moment, we approach sublimation from the "Seminar XIV", which has new conceptual and methodological resources, such as the object a, logic and topology. We also discuss sublimation in articulation with other concepts, such as: repetition, alienation, transference, passage to the act and acting-out. Lacan, in Seminar XIV, tells us that there is no sexual act. However, we understand that sublimation is a solution for sexual satisfaction that does not exist, just as the sinthome makes the relationship exist, but not the equivalence between the sexes. We also discuss the relationship between the Woman and das Ding. Through courtly love, as a paradigm of sublimation, Woman is raised to the dignity of the Thing. We understand that it was the crossing of the body that was the main reason why Lacan stopped using sublimation in seminar XVI, and in seminar XXIII he came to use sinthome. In a third moment, before approaching the sinthome, we approach the registers of the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary, in order to arrive at the Borromean knot, which, in turn, sustains the Real. We have seen that the sinthome is a reference to the Name-of-the-Father. It is different from the symptom-metaphor and the symptom-letter. It is a repair in the Borromean chain or knot exactly where the lapse happened. We then come to the footstool, which is a sublimation in its intersection with a narcissism revisited by Lacan, as a belief that the speaking-being has a body. We conclude that sublimation is what deals with the jouissance of the body, and the sinthome sustains the body, linking the three registers and allowing that, after doing sinthome, we can reach sublimation and, therefore, through the footstool, the singularized UOMem.

  • The purpose of this project is to reflect on the relationship between the practice of non-suicidal self and rites of

passage. Self-injury has been a matter of concern and debate, given the number of cases that come to the clinic

with this complaint. Compulsive acts are described as psychopathological symptoms. The subject will be

approached, however, from the understanding of non-suicidal self injury as an emulation of a rite in which the

passage is not carried out, becoming compulsive, based on the collective shadow, that is, archetypal.

  • Learning is a continuous, evolving, and multidetermined process. Children with learning difficulties may present deficits in cognitive functions. Non-drug interventions such as stimulation, training, and cognitive rehabilitation have gained prominence in improving cognition. With children audiences, cognitive training has been most prevalent. In addition, using technologies such as computers, smartphones, and virtual and augmented reality, has proven more attractive for children. There are computerized interventions available in Brazil, but most were developed in the international context and/or have yet to present psychometric studies of the tasks. Based on these considerations, this study aimed to build a program in computer game format entitled "Tobias around the World" for multimodal cognitive training with children. In addition, evidence of content validity of the program was evaluated. To this end, two studies were conducted. The first refers to a systematic review that served as the basis of the theoretical foundation for the program's construction. The review sought to identify the main characteristics of intervention programs with children up to 12 years old and the association of these characteristics with the effects found. Sixty-one studies meeting the criteria were included. We found 45 studies of training, nine of rehabilitation, and five of cognitive stimulation, and among these, some articles used the terms as synonyms. The studies were divided into children up to six years old (n=16) and between seven and twelve years old (n=45). The use of technological resources, the focus on cognitive functions related to learning, and the application of the intervention in schools were predominant in the studies. Forty-four articles showed significant improvements in the cognitive functions worked on or others, showing positive evidence of using cognitive interventions in children. The results also showed that training with children is aimed at typical and atypical development and that the period between 8 and 14 hours may indicate better effects. Finally, it was also evidenced that there are still gaps in cognitive intervention studies with children. The selected articles ranged from high, medium, and low risk of bias, with the majority remaining at medium (n=41). The second study dealt with presenting the process of constructing and searching for evidence of content validity of the Tobias for the World program. It is developmental research of quantitative and qualitative approaches, with cross-sectional data collection. The study was divided into four stages: theoretical foundation, software construction and programming, judges' analysis, and pilot study. The academic background served to understand the current field of interventions with children in Brazil and for an adequate representation of the components of the models of cognitive functions covered in the program, including attention, executive functions, and memory. The scenarios and tasks comprising the games were planned, covering the scores, difficulty levels, and Brazilian-style aspects with characters, texts, and sounds. The software was programmed with the support of this work's co-supervisor, a professor in the Computer Science course. The judges' analysis counted on five specialists in the area who evaluated Tobias for the World through a form and who made it possible to improve the tasks. The pilot study was conducted with three typically developing children, a 7-year-old girl and two boys, ages 7 and 8. They were selected by convenience, with the permission of their guardians. This step was performed in a one-on-one meeting (applicator and child) and brought good results. The Ethics Committee of UFSJ approved this study. The results of the present dissertation showed a compilation of the characteristics of the interventions made with children and the usability of Tobias for the World as a program for intervention in cognitive functions. Future studies should evaluate, more specifically, the evidence of the program's effectiveness.

  • Home literacy is a term used to describe the experiences that children have in their homes from birth that will foster the acquisition of later language skills. These experiences include exposure to reading, writing, and language use in different contexts. Home literacy is considered an important factor in children's cognitive development and learning (Sénéchal & LeFevre, 2002). However, despite its importance, instruments to assess the home environment and children's language experiences within the home are scarce in Brazil. Therefore, in this study, the crosscultural adaptation of a questionnaire, originally designed in English to evaluate Indian families, to assess the home literacy environment was carried out for the Brazilian context (Buvaneswari
    & Padakannaya, 2017).
Six steps were used to perform this adaptation. The first step was the translation of the original instrument by two different translators. Next, the two versions were synthesized to arrive at a single one. The third step involved the evaluation of the synthesis by three specialists in the field of child development and psychological assessment. In the fourth step, the synthesis was evaluated by the target audience through a focus group. The fifth step was the back-translation of the instrument to verify the correspondence of the items with the original meaning and the approval from the authors. Finally, in the sixth step, a pilot study was conducted with the participation of mothers of children between four and six years old. During the pilot study, correlations were found between the instrument's dimensions and measures of socioeconomic status. It was observed that the higher the maternal education and monthly family income, the higher the scores on the family literacy dimensions presented in the questionnaire. At the end of the study, a questionnaire on family literacy was adapted with clear language, well formulated items pertinent to the reality of the general population, and
    good internal consistency.

  • This work proposes to think about a dialogue between psychoanalysis and the street based on the concept
Lacanian of capitalist discourse. For this purpose, we carried out a theoretical research on the
Lacanian theory of discourses, culminating in the development of the concept in question. In
then, we undertake a discussion about the Population in Street Situation, thought
as a symptom of the capitalist discourse, also presenting considerations about the
how this population is socially denominated. We also discussed the policies
Brazilian public institutions in recent years, as well as about the public space and its
crossings before the capitalist social bond. Finally, we held a discussion on the
what we call street clinics here, proposing to think about the insertion of psychoanalysis in this
field. For this, we present a historical journey about psychoanalytic street clinics,
we held a discussion on the concept of subject, key to thinking about praxis
psychoanalysis, and we brought an argument about some of the classic devices of
psychoanalysis, like money and the couch, to think about its performance outside the traditional setting. A
Based on this discussion, we defend the idea that, focusing on the field of speech, the clinic
psychoanalytical analysis can discursively support the manipulations, provided that their

  • Cognitive or clinical insight refers to the ability to attribute meaning to the experience of symptoms present in psychotic disorders, especially those related to the schizophrenia spectrum. The Beck Cognitive Insight Scale (BCIS) was developed to provide a more comprehensive assessment of the level of insight in both clinical and non-clinical settings. This instrument was adapted for the Brazilian context and only its content validity was verified. The present study sought to evaluate the psychometric properties of the BCIS formed by a Brazilian sample (BCIS-BR), considering exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis methods based on network psychometry, namely exploratory graphic analysis (EGA) and exploratory graphic analysis with bootstrap (BootEGA), respectively. This is a development research that evaluates the psychometric properties of a measurement instrument in a Brazilian sample. The instrument is originally composed of 15 items, divided into two dimensions, self-reflection (nine items) and self-certainty (six items). A non-probabilistic sample of 249 people was used, divided into 3 groups: 92 with psychotic symptoms or disorders, 41 with other disorders but without psychotic symptoms, and 116 with no psychiatric diagnosis. Data collection was carried out through a face-to-face interview with the vast majority of people with disorders with psychotic symptoms. The rest of the sample had data collected online. All analyzes were performed using the R v software. 4.0.3. The analyzes performed were as follows: (1) Exploratory Graph Analysis (EGA), to estimate the number of dimensions in multivariate data using undirected network models; (2) Bootstrap Exploratory Graph Analysis (BootEGA), to estimate and evaluate the dimensional structure of the model; (3) redundancy analysis, used to verify whether the items are answered in the same way in relation to others, through cooperation; (4) entropy value, which indicates the stability level of the system, without, however, having a cut-off point; (5) descriptive analysis for sample characteristics and items remaining from the BCIS-BR. This research proved that the structure with two dimensions was maintained in terms of using network psychometry as a procedure for dimensional configuration of the Brazilian version of BCIS (BCIS-BR). Furthermore, based on the analyses, items 3 and 13, associated with the self-reflection dimension, were excluded. Currently, a network analysis used for psychometrics, using EGA and BootEGA techniques, reveals more consistent models in understanding the interaction between items and their groupings. This fact makes it possible to observe a dimensional configuration that reflects a latent structure.

  • Our research deals with a notorious phenomenon at different times in the history of Brazil, and which gains a new manifestation with the current so-called evangelical growth, a close relationship between popular mobilizations linked to authoritarian political positions and their motivations linked to the field of religion. Part of our research, therefore, is directed towards the objective of understanding the particularities of a religious involvement that allows the connection with such a policy, having as an approach, primarily, the psychoanalytic reading on religion and its effects on the subject, both in Freud and in Lacan. We will also pay attention to the social aspects that provide new coordinates to the point of contact between religion and politics, taking into account that this point takes place on the particular field of modern society. And in so far as they are related, perhaps religion has something to say about politics, just as politics has something to say about religion.

  • This research seeks to investigate a possible relationship between knowledge-truth-Real – taken as a conceptual triplet, as proposed by Alain Badiou – and the analyst's discourse, having as a background the assumption of a not-all psychoanalysis. In this way, we start from the following questions: is the statute of the Real, when organized at the level of three with knowledge and truth, potentiated in the analytical discourse? Considering the arrangement of the letters in the places determined by the theory of discourses, what would contribute to this potentialization, marking the Real in the analytical discourse? Thus, the objective is to analyze how the Real circulates in the analytical discourse in its inseparability with knowledge and truth, emphasizing that such discourse, as Lacan says, makes the Real touch the Real. The research proposal, therefore, touches on the theory of discourses in its interface with the thought of Alain Badiou, insofar as it proposes to analyze the conceptual triplet knowing-truth-Real in the dynamics of the analyst's discourse. In view of this proposal, we walk through the terrain of logical-mathematical writing, understanding that our methodological approach goes through what is written in the mathematics of analytical discourse. And it is in the face of this writing property that we organize our hypothesis, understanding that object a, situated in the position of agent of the analytical discourse, could be the term capable of writing the turn of the Real that makes this discourse differentiate itself from the others and, also, to be the equivalent term for the Real in Badiou's triplet, adding to knowledge and truth.

  • Violence, a characteristic phenomenon of culture, assumes new ways of presenting
itself under the neoliberal discursive model. These forms appear, in Brazil, under two
main axes. First, a silent violence that, through the instrumentalization of the
superego, captures individuals in the market logic of the entrepreneur of himself.
Second, a violence that appears as an effect of this, referring to objective violence,
which authorizes individuals to commit the passage to the act, against themselves
and against others. For this articulation, we use what Canguilhem (year) calls
concept work, starting from the political field to understand its effects in the
subjective field, aiming at the articulation between the subject and the sociopolitical
field through the bias of psychoanalysis. We see a third axis as a horizon of
possibility. This, still to be addressed in this research, would also be related to the
violence of the act as an instituting act, that is, an act that summons the subject to
rupture, the construction of a new possibility different from those placed a priori by
    the capitalist social bond.

  • Epistemicide and epistemic racism produced invisibility/delegitimization of traditional and popular knowledge, restraining autonomous production of knowledge and their practices. Notwithstanding witchdoctors and faith healers are secular and part of Brazilian culture, the knowledge colonization, and imposition of the biomedical model relegated traditional knowledge and their health care practices to the margins. This study aims to understand the traditional knowledge of popular medicine and its practices, investigate its influence on westernized medicine, the social perception of its practitioners, and the evaluation of family and community doctors about this knowledge and practices. Based on qualitative methodology, this research is guided by decolonial feminist studies. Theoretical-bibliographic research will be conducted around the productions that approach traditional knowledge, popular medicine as well as the professionalization of medicine and emergence of medical knowledge, building a conceptual framework and approximation with the field. Additionally, semistructured interviews will be conducted with the family and community physicians. The research will have a final stage, where documental analysis will be conducted regarding legislation and documentation refraining integrative and complementary health practices.

  • The objective of the present study was to identify organizational factors that contribute to people with functional differences to feel included at work. Ethical-organizational and psychosocial parameters, as well as characteristics of the work design were used. A cross-sectional survey was carried out with 86 participants with functional differences who were working at the time of the survey, over 18 years old, of both sexes, and from different regions of Brazil. It is concluded that the main organizational factors that influence the inclusion of people with functional differences within organizations are the ethical-organizational parameters and the work design items that deal with autonomy in decision-making, social support and interdependence for professional deliveries. , in addition to the perception of a low concentration of people with functional differences in the same sector. Theoretical and practical implications of the results are discussed.

  • Transference is a central phenomenon to clinical psychological work and the work of C.G. Jung presents a very complex, sometimes contradictory, conceptualization to address this issue. Considering that the analysis of the construction of a concept contributes greatly to its understanding and the phenomena it addresses, the project aims to research the development of the concept of transference in Jung's Complete Work. The methodology used is Jean Piaget's historical-critical epistemology for theoretical research. Based on Jung's assumptions and its historical context, all the mentions that the author makes to transference phenomena, from 1905 to 1963, will be analyzed, seeking the modifications and maturation of the concept.

  • In the psychoanalytic field, the theme about the implications of the acceleration expressed by capitalism platform for the contemporary social bond was chosen for the development of this search. At first, through the bibliographic methodology, we carried out a conceptual path in the political and social fields, which allowed us to situate capitalism in a platform, and its accelerating effects, as a paradigm, which exacerbates the contradictions of neoliberal ideology linked to the maximization of freedom, individualization, performance and self-engendering. From this critical cut, it was possible to provide indexes, which will be liable to be contemplated by the field of psychoanalytic problem corresponding to the theory of speeches, coined by Jacques Lacan between 1967 and 1972, highlighting the necessary relationship of these with the capitalist discourse as proposed by the psychoanalyst French in 1972. Furthermore, if the assumption that platform capitalism would be a of the devices for accelerating capitalist discourse is correct, such as considering the impasses of a structure, whose limitlessness would tend to foreclose the time of discourse? Thinking about how Psychoanalysis can respond to this, we will propose temporality as working hypothesis with discourses through referrals of Freudian concepts concerning the temporality of the unconscious, the temporality of trauma (a posteriori) and the Lacanian notion of logical time. This will help us to think about the temporal structure of discourses and its importance for the psychic economy of the subjects, mainly to examine some possible consequences of the time frame effected by the capitalist discourse and trace some contributions in a psychoanalytic direction. Keywords: Psychoanalysis; Capitalist speech; Social acceleration; Algorithm; networks social, Temporality.

  • The research seeks to understand how the subjectivities of women are influenced to think about body neutrality and impacted by the content of digital influencers on social networks, with a focus on Instagram, based on the reports of followers in comments made on selected publications. For this, the investigations permeate the notion of body, beauty, aesthetic standards and their implementations and obligations according to the socio-historical context, in addition to the use of the internet as a possible emancipatory tool. Based on theoretical research such as Denise Sant'anna, Judith Butler, Del Priore and Beauvoir, we will use Critical Discourse Analysis based on Fairclough as a method to explore and immerse ourselves in the community that constitutes this field of study from participant observations, considering the specifics of Instagram. Cyberfeminism and queer theory will be tools to foster critical reflection and the elaboration of an understanding of the research objectives, which constitute an investigation into the construction of beauty standards in Brazil; to describe how digital influencers, with or without advertising, impact the dissemination and acceptance of the body neutrality discourse, in addition to asking how they influence female self-care and consumption patterns; investigate whether the way and the possibility of reporting herself on the internet has an impact on the way content is created and offered to followers; reflect on the representations of bodies on the internet from movements that celebrate body neutrality and seek, based on environmental psychology, cyberfeminism and queer theory, how our bodies relate to virtual life.

  • Introduction: Recovery is understood within the field of mental health as a personal process in people with mental disorders, characterized by the development and construction of a meaningful life, despite the symptoms and their consequences. In the last decades, recovery has received a growing attention by the literature and mental health systems, especially for people with psychosis. However, there are no studies in Brazil that investigate how the recovery process occurs in people with depression.

Objective: This study aimed to understand the recovery process in people with depressive episodes within the context of Brazilian community mental health services. The study also aimed to identify factors that favor and hinder the recovery process in depression.

Method: A qualitative study was conducted, including sixteen users from the mental health outpatient clinic of city of São João del-Rei, with primary diagnosis of depression, participated in the study. Narratives were collected using a structured interview and analyzed through thematic analyses method.

Results: Results indicated that most of the themes were consonant with the domains of the CHIME framework, with “connection with significant others” and “empowerment” being the most reported aspects. “Social Support” and “spirituality” were identified as the two main facilitators of the recovery process. The main barriers were: social isolation, stigma, lack of understanding of other people about the loss of functionality resulting from the disorder and the absence of purpose or meaning in life.

Conclusion: These findings contributed to a better understanding of the recovery process in depression and types of supports needed by people with depressive episodes to build and live a meaningful life. Based on the recovery domains, facilitators and barriers identified by the sample and in line with the literature, it is possible to improve public services offered to people with depression. This can be done by influencing public policy and healthcare services development, increasing community awareness and promoting destigmatisation.

  • Intimate partner violence (IPV) is considered a human rights violation and a public health
problem. Considering it is a complex phenomenon, it is necessary to carry out research to
understand the risk factors involved in IPV. Among these factors can be highlighted the set of
personality traits recognized as the Dark Tetrad (DTe), composed by dimensions narcissism,
machiavellianism, sadism, and psychopathy. Thus, the main porpose of this project is check
the relationship between IPV and DTe personality traits. Therefore, the knowledge produced
by this research will contribute to the advancement of scientific literature and the
development of prevention and intervention for IPV. This is a quantitative, survey, relational,
cross-sectional research, composed of a non-probability, convenience sample. People of both
gender, 18 years of age or older, from the general population and deprived of liberty
(recruited from the Associação de Proteção e Assistência aos Condenados [APAC]) will
participate in this research. The methods of data collection will be described as follows:
Sociodemographic and general questionnaire, Revised Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS2), The
Short Dark (SD4) and Big Five Inventory-Short Form (BFI-SF). This study presents the
following hypotheses: 1) there will be no significant differences between gender of both
sample respect to overall IPV scores; 2) men will have higher scores on DTe traits compared
to women; 3) levels of DTe and IPV traits are assumed to be more expressive in the prison
population than in the general population; 4) IPV perpetration is expected to show association
    with all traits that make up DTe, as psychopathy as being the best predictor of perpetration;
and 5) personality traits from Big Five model will show association with IPV and DT.

  • Dependence on digital devices such as computers and smartphones negatively affect psychological, physical, and social well-being. In order to assess this phenomenon, understand the relationship with other contextual and individual variables, develop better-targeted prevention and intervention strategies, the development of measurement instruments for this purpose becomes necessary. Thus, the present project has as main purposes to perform the cross-cultural adaptation of a scale to evaluate digital addiction, namely, the Digital Addiction Scale (DAS) and to verify the relationship between the dimensions of DAS with contextual and individual variables. For aim 1, the DAS will go through a process of translation, adjustment of items, cognitive or intelligibility study of the items (pilot) and back-translation with evaluation by the original author. For aim 2 the following instruments will be used for data collection: Sociodemographic questionnaire, Digital Addiction Scale (DAS), The Nine-Item Problematic Internet Use Questionnaire (PIUQ-9), Big Five Inventory-Short Form (BFI-SF), Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS), Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11). The sample will be of non-probability and convenience type, consisting of participants aged 18 years or older, college students, of both genders. The research will be carried out using virtual forms and/or printed material (traditional method), for individual or collective applications. The data will be treated using uni, bi- and multivariate analyses. It is expected that the DAS presents good psychometric properties for the Brazilian context and relates to the other variables of interest in this research.

  • The present work leans over the concept of schizophrenia and how it was developed and elaborated in the course of the Complete Work of C.G. Jung. The idea of schizophrenia was fundamental to the history of psychopathology and the care of psychotics represents a milestone for the emergence of Jung's Analytical Psychology. For this research, the historical-critical method of Jean Piaget's genetic epistemology is used. This method is suitable for the analysis of a concept in a given theoretical body, having as references the context of its emergence and development in a chronological record. The analysis was based on the collection of excerpts that deal with the theme and a subsequent analysis, articulating text and context. Regarding the organization of this research, the discussion will be divided into nine topics of analysis, which will serve as chapters in the body of the dissertation: (1) the notion of pathology for Jung seen from his ideas on psychosis; (2) the transition from the idea of dementia praecox to that of schizophrenia; (3) the problem of the etiology of psychosis in which Jung argues about the hypotheses of psychogenesis and organogenesis; (4) the relationship between the concept of complex and schizophrenia; (5) the relationship between the concept of the collective unconscious and schizophrenia; (6) energetic theories of schizophrenia; (7) the relationship between art and schizophrenia; (8) the specific problem of latent psychosis; (9) and, finally, the specific guidelines that Jung gives to the clinic of psychoses.

  • The discussion about the different forms of violence and their occurrence in organizations has intensified nowadays, in which new hostile and management strategies are practiced and reinvented, with the potential to cause significant emotional damage to workers. das existing violence in the daily work, we find the one committed against women due to their gender condition, called sexist violence. Whereas the scientific literature points out that women experience more violence in the workplace as well and that the universe of professional education and training is marked, from its conception, organization and management, for gender reasons, our research proposal is to know the sexist violence evidenced in the work trajectories of female public servants assistant in administration of a public institution of professional, scientific and technology in the state of Minas Gerais. This is a case study that will use the narrative and biographical research approach and will resort to field diary and interviews episodic narratives for data production. We will start from a theoretical-methodological effort in order to give visibility to violence against women in the world of work. The intention is to problematize ways of life, work and conduct in the face of sexist violence. At narratives of these workers, their perceptions about themselves and work relationships assume centrality, favoring the discussion of unequal gender relations in the labor. We will adopt as an epistemological basis the work from the perspective of the sociology of work, social psychology of work and work clinics and the approach to relationships gender patriarchal structures, the sexual division of labor and its intersectionality with sex/race/class - having feminist studies as an axis, with emphasis on feminism materialism and black feminism. Discourse analysis will be adopted in the data analysis, understanding discourse as a social practice. We will seek to know, in dialogic practice, concepts related to power, gender and violence. We hope to identify and discuss sexist violence and forms of confrontation and resistance of female workers in the light of the theoretical framework chosen, thus contributing to the broadening of the debate on the relations gender inequalities and their consequences in the field of work, especially the educational.

  • The overall objective of this doctoral thesis was to present, from the perspective of workers with disabilities, how individual aspects related to life trajectory (family and education) along with organizational aspects related to working conditions influence the perception of autonomy in the workplace. While national and international literature identifies some elements of these aspects, no studies were found that articulate their interface among people with disabilities. To achieve this general objective, the thesis was developed and presented in the form of two chapters: 1) In the first chapter, individuals with disabilities who had professional qualifications and held positions corresponding to their education were investigated. The objective was to assess how family and educational aspects influenced their professional development. People with disabilities from all regions of Brazil were interviewed. The analysis of the interviews was conducted through content analysis. Coping behaviors of parents were identified, including attention and clarity in identifying the needs of their children, obtaining suitable resources, and adaptations in educational processes. Inadequacies in the learning processes in specialized schools were also observed, as well as difficulties in accessing and staying in regular schools. 2) The second chapter, the core of the thesis, aimed to identify how family and educational support, in addition to the work context, contribute to the autonomy in the workplace for people with disabilities. Two inventories on family support and educational support for people with disabilities were developed and validated. These, along with questions related to accessibility in the current work context and autonomy in the workplace, were administered to 235 people with disabilities from all regions of Brazil. It was found that encouragement, support, and stimulation from families, as well as the presence of adaptations in equipment and work tools, play a significant role in promoting autonomy in the workplace.

  • Aging is a natural process of human development, marked by non-linear individual changes and declines. Several variables can influence this process, among them, access to culture, education, health, and physical exercise. The literature points out that interventions with physical exercise can promote improvements or maintenance of cognitive functions. Based on these considerations, the present thesis dissertation aimed to deepen the knowledge about the relationship between physical exercises and cognition in the elderly. To this end, two studies were conducted. The first refers to a systematic review that was constructed from thirteen research studies that met the study's inclusion criteria. It was found that physical exercise promotes the maintenance or improvement of cognitive functions after an intervention period. Variables were identified that may interfere with this relationship such as study design, exercise level practiced prior to the intervention, duration of the intervention, weekly frequency, type of exercise, and the instruments used to assess cognitive functions. It was concluded that higher intensity and frequency of exercise were associated with improvements (dose-response effect) and there was a trend toward more evident effects in the initial months (acute effect), followed by stabilization. The second, empirical study investigated the relationship of adapted exercise on the cognition of the elderly participants. A single-group quasi-experimental design with one pre-test and three post-tests was employed. The following functions were assessed: visual and auditory attention, visual and working memory, mental engagement, visual tracking, and cognitive flexibility. The instruments included: Rey's Complex Figures, Trail Making Test, direct and reverse order digits subtest of the Weschler Scales of Intelligence for Adults, and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. Results identified maintenance of cognitive functions during the 14-month intervention. Graphical analyses indicated a slight upward trend in cognitive functions between the pre-test and the first two post-tests, followed by a slight decline for all functions, which leads to hypothesizing about the adaptation of cognition in the face of physical stimulation. The results of the present thesis dissertation provide relevant information for planning further studies. Future research can replicate this study by controlling for relevant variables such as intensity, frequency of exercise, and previous sedentary lifestyle to understand the issues pointed out here. Despite these caveats, the evidence from the present dissertation suggests that physical exercise may help promote maintenance or improvement of cognitive function and, consequently, slow the progression of cognitive impairment in the elderly.

  • This article aimed to evaluate the impact of the training “Inclusive Leadership” on the beliefs and attitudes of managers about the inclusion of people with disabilities. The research was carried out in a private institution in the mining sector, with the participation of 34 employees in leadership positions, following the pre-test, intervention and post-test design. The intervention was the Inclusive Leadership online training and participants responded to inventories related to the topic and sociodemographic issues.

It was found that, after training, the explanatory factors of the attitude favorable to the inclusion of people with disabilities in work changed. The belief in the existence of benefits from hiring becomes the factor that explains the favorable attitude towards the inclusion of people with disabilities, explaining 16% of the variation in attitude. These results indicate that positive information about the work of people with disabilities plays an important role in changing managers' beliefs and attitudes.

  • The study presents an analysis of the subjectivity of educators in the early years of Elementary School related to their conceptions of education and seeks to understand how these are related to their practices with the students. It also aimed to describe how the socio- historical context contributes to the constitution of the concept of education. In the theoretical framework, contributions from Paulo Freire were used to understand the educational process, to reflect on the characteristics of different educational conceptions and their effects on the education of students. The contributions of Historical-Cultural Psychology to the understanding of Subjectivity, the bases for the elaboration of González- Rey's Theory of Subjectivity and the main concepts of this approach were presented. For the methodology, the Qualitative Constructive-Interpretive Epistemology proposed by González-Rey was used, developed through case studies and instruments such as conversations. Two pedagogues, with more than 5 years of professional experience, who work with students in the early years of Elementary School I, from public schools located in a city in the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes - MG, participated in the study. It was observed that in the subjectivity of the educators there are aspects that constitute their conception of education, originated during childhood, mainly in the period of Basic Education. Constituent aspects of their subjectivities that involve the academic training process and elements linked to other training courses were observed. Aspects related to professional experiences and the socio-historical context of these experiences were identified. There are also constituent aspects linked to the interaction of the educators with the work team and the experiences with the students. Different processes of subjectivation of the participants and conceptions of education with different characteristics are perceptible. However, a relative similarity can also be observed between the expression of subjectivity related to the educators' conception of education. It is considered the importance of understanding how subjectivity affects the conceptions of education and its influence on educational practice, aiming to find ways to work on a more critical education.

  • Childhood depression is a complex phenomenon that has occurred more often in children's lives. Studies indicate as protective factors of childhood depression, among others, social skills and good academic performance. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the routine, education and interpersonal relationships of children and adolescents. These changes may have had a different impact on your mental health. In the context of face- to-face class retakes, this study identified the relationships between the presence of depressive symptoms, the scores of social skills repertoire and academic competence of this population. In addition, the sample was characterized in terms of (a) sociodemographic characteristics, (b) presence or absence of depressive symptoms, (c) social skills repertoire, and (d) academic achievement. Furthermore, the groups of children were compared in terms of depressive symptomatology scores, social skills repertoire and academic competence according to sex, age and type of school. The sample consisted of 66 children and adolescents aged between eight and 13 years from public and private schools in a city in the interior of Minas Gerais. Most children were female and belonged to private schools, enrolled in the fourth to ninth year of elementary school. The participating teachers were aged between 32 and 51 years and most were female. To evaluate the children, the CDI (Child Depression Inventory) and the SSRS-BR (children and teachers’ version) were used. The results showed that approximately 26% of the sample had depressive symptoms. The highest rates of depression were found in females, adolescents and public-school students. Regarding the repertoire of social skills and academic competence, most children were evaluated with a medium repertoire. The children's group was better self-rated in social skills compared to the adolescents, and the girls scored better on this repertoire as rated by their teachers. There were no differences between the comparison groups in academic competence. Negative correlations were found between depressive symptomatology and the repertoire of social skills and also with the children's academic competence. The social skills repertoire was positively associated with academic competence in the sample. The results suggest that a better repertoire of social skills and academic competence may be protective factors related to childhood depression in the context of resumption of face-to-face classes in the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings reinforce evidence that there was an increase in the prevalence of childhood depression during the COVID-19 pandemic and that social skills interventions could be effective in preventing childhood depression or acting to mitigate its effects. The results also indicated that female adolescents from public schools constitute priority groups for interventions in relation to depression. The findings suggest that interventions in social skills can be effective in preventing depression or minimizing its effects. Thus, the present study brings relevant results for a better understanding of the phenomenon of depression in childhood, as well as contributes to research in the area in the context of the pandemic of COVID-19.

  • Suicide attempt is the main risk factor for suicide and for re-attempts, increasing the probability of death by up to 100 times when compared to the general population. The risk of suicide increases proportionally with the number of suicide attempts. Mental disorders have a strong relationship with attempted suicide and the factors that can lead to this association multiple. The present study aimed to verify the frequency of suicide attempts in users of a Psychosocial Care Center in the city of Divinópolis/MG, as well as the associated sociodemographic and clinical factors, in addition to characterizing in terms of predisposing and precipitating factors, intentionality and lethality the last attempted suicide by those who made it. This is a cross-sectional, quantitative and correlational research. The sample consisted of 152 service users, of both sexes, with an average age of

43.38 years, who answered the following instruments: sociodemographic and clinical questionnaire, scale of stigma internalized in mental disorder (ISMI-BR), Beck's suicidal ideation scale (BSI) and only the subsample that was composed of 95 people who reported a history of suicide throughout their lives, also responded to an interview characterizing the last suicide attempt. The results indicated a frequency of 62.50% of suicide attempts among participants, 34.40% reported having made four or more attempts, and the most used method (44.20%) was exogenous self-intoxication with medications. In the bivariate analyses, the variables “age” (p=0.04), “history of psychiatric hospitalization” (p=0.02), “age of illness” (p<0.01), “being in psychotherapy ” (p<0.01), “use of alcoholic beverages” (p=0.03), “ISMI-BR score” (p<0.01) and “BSI score” (p<0.01) as statistically significant. These variables were included in the logistic regression model, and the variable “diagnostic category” was also added, as it is widely associated with attempted suicide in the literature in the area. The variables that remained statistically significant were: “age” OR = 1.06 (p=0.03), “age of illness” OR = 0.92 (p<0.01), “history of psychiatric hospitalization” OR = 3.96 (p<0.01), “being in psychotherapy” OR = 6.69 (p<0.01); “use of alcohol” OR = 4.02 (p=0.03) and “BSI score” OR = 1.15 (p<0.01). Most of the subsample of the present study reported having problems with family members and people close to them, went through situations of neglect in childhood and had a family member with a history of psychiatric hospitalization. In addition, almost half said they had problems with accessing psychiatric consultation, obtaining access to medication for treatment, having been threatened with physical or sexual abuse, and the majority knew someone who had attempted or died by suicide. It was also found that the majority of users who attempt suicide did not make any preparations, did not take steps to prevent assistance and did not communicate their thoughts of death to third parties. The proximity of the instrument used in the attempt as well as the ease of accessing it was reported by most of the users. Access to adequate mental health treatments, monitoring of people who have already attempted suicide by a health team, restriction of access to methods and awareness of society, play a fundamental role in the prevention of suicide attempts and deaths.

  • The involvement of Psychology professionals in work settings, as well as in the area of Occupational Health, has a certain consolidation and recognition in the country. However, the  same  does  not  seem  to  occur  when  it  comes  to  interventions  carried  out  by psychologists  regarding  alcohol  consumption  by  workers.  We  sought  to  identify  and analyze, in the national scientific literature, the practices carried out by psychologists given the  alcoholism  and  problematic  alcohol  consumption  in  work  settings.  A  systematic literature review was conducted, based on PRISMA Statement, and the Social Psychology of Work was the chosen theoretical framework. The inquiries were carried out in the following electronic databases: LILACS, PePSIC, scIELO, CAPES, BDTD and CREPOP, using the boolean descriptors and operators: “alcoholism AND work”; “psychology AND alcoholism  AND  work”;  “Alcoholism  AND  Psychology”.  Based  on  the  inclusion  and exclusion criteria, only 11 studies were selected for analysis, which shows a low production of publications on the issue. In general, it was observed that the interventions aim to stimulate alcohol abstinence in workers and most were based on the assumptions of the Cognitive Behavioral Theory. No practice used harm reduction strategies. The actions were organized in a structured and inflexible way, with the attendances following pre-determined steps, which may have hampered the workers’ participation and the development of the psychologists’   activities.   It   is   argued   about   the   importance   of   reflecting   on   the performances   of   psychologists,   through   the   creation   of   dialogic   spaces   and   the encouragement of scientific production, in order to update the craft.

  • Gonçalves, Carolina Stéphanie Rodrigues (2021). Management of the information by mothers informed about their children's homosexuality. Master's thesis, Graduate Program in Psychology PPGPSI/UFSJ, Department of Psychology, Federal University of São João del-Rei. São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais.

Little space has been given on the perspective of family members, besides the perception of LGBTQIA+ people themselves, about the process of "revealing" their affective-sexual orientations and/or counter-hegemonic gender identities. Once this gap has been identified, the main objective of this dissertation is to learn and analyze the manner in which most heterosexual and cisgender mothers have managed the information about their children's homosexuality. This is a qualitative and exploratory study. Six mothers were interviewed, averaging 49 years old, residing in a countryside city in southern Minas Gerais state, located in the Mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes. Participants were intentionally recruited by using the Snowball technique. A semi- structured interview was used as an instrument for data acquirement and the cross- section synthesis was used as an analysis procedure. From a multiple case study, it was identified that some mothers still end up "choosing" to not communicate their children’s' homosexuality for several people and in several situations. In most cases, even the mothers that currently have an open communication in this regard, had been selective towards the form in which they have administrated this information in previous moments of their lives, due to their children’s non-heterosexual affective- sexual orientations, as well as their cisdissident gender identities, being still stigmatized in a heterosexual and cissexist social context. It is necessary to pay more attention to what has been happening along the process of revealing non-heterosexual affective- sexual orientations and/or non-cisgender gender identities, experienced by LGBTQIA+ people and their family members, mainly, to what welcoming, fairly and democratically should happen in this process. Notably, it is important to highlight the need for qualified mediations in the relationship experienced by LGBT + people and their family members (such as, for example, those of public policies) so that it can be a constant deconstruction of prejudices related to LGBT + experiences.

  • The beginning of study in the university is a period of several changes in the students’ life, including the realization of expectations, but also the occurrence of worries, fear, anxiety and difficulties in adaptation. Previous studies have evaluated the level of anxiety of undergraduate students in health courses and their adaptation to the academic life, but few studies have investigated the relation between these variables in Brazil. The goal of this study was to evaluate the degree of academic adaptation of undergraduate students and its relation to anxiety levels and to sociodemographic and academic variables. This is a cross-sectional Survey research which is part of a multicentric study. The sample was composed of 316 students in health courses from three Brazilian institutions: Federal University of São João del-Rei; Federal University of Ouro Preto e Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro. Subjects answered three instruments in online format: Academic Experiences Questionnaire (QVA-r); Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) and a sociodemographic and academic questionnaire. Results showed that students had a moderate degree of academic adaptation, with stronger scores in the dimensions Carrier, Personal and Interpersonal. Regarding the evaluation of anxiety, the students showed moderate levels of anxiety symptoms. Univariate analyses indicated that the degree of academic adaptation did not vary in relation to the analyzed, variables but the level of anxiety presented variations, being higher for female, youngers and those students in the Nursing Course. Multiple regression analysis indicated that higher levels of anxiety were predictor of lower degree of academic adaptation, for the of Carrier, Study and Institutional QVA-r dimensions. Regarding anxiety, the predictors factors were being female, having low degree of adaptation in the dimension Study, being in the nursing course and being younger. This research can be considered as an advance in this area, since there are few published Brazilian studies regarding this subject.

  • The present study proposes a critical analysis of the possibility of the psychoanalyst in the school institution in the face of demanding discourse of discipline and student performance. Having applied Psychoanalysis associated with bibliographic research and fragments of memories from practice in school daily life as the guiding axis, we understand the psychoanalyst's position in the institution as not responding to institutional demand, but rather promoting and valuing the subject's singularity. At first, we went through the history of the school in Brazil, focusing on traditional and constructivist teaching methods, enabling us to identify that the link between these two methods prevails in today's school. We start from the assumption that the discourse of the school institution is consistent with the current social ideology, which, anchored to the capitalist market, supposes constant production as a way to obtain a prominent place in the labor market and in the social sphere. Thus, investigating the websites of three educational systems highlighted in Brazil today allowed us to locate the significant performance based on the promise of entering the university from the didactic material of each of them. We continue with the link and the challenges between Psychoanalysis and institution. When going through Lacan’s discourse theory, we point out the capitalist – contemporary master – and university speeches discourses as prevalent in the current school, while the psychoanalyst operates with the analyst's discourse, averse to the discourse of the master. In addition to the method and teaching material, we understand the performance of the student involved in his relationship with the teacher. Aiming to detect what this relationship interferes with learning, we differentiate knowledge and acquaintance, highlighting the psychoanalyst's bet on the acquaintance of the subject, which runs through the unconscious. We present the nuances that approximate the concept of alienation in Marx and Lacan to the implication of the subject in his relationship with the Other. We focus on the constitution of the subject, with the logical operations of alienation and separation, underlining the alienated student in the face of the ideology in force in the school institution and in society. We bring concepts from psychoanalytic theory: malaise, suffering and symptom, identifying particular aspects of the student's symptom that are tied to the malaise of their relationships and their interference in school performance. Finally, we present the possibilities of the psychoanalyst’s performance in face of the school institution’s demand for discipline and student performance.

  • A society without asylums is a more humanized society that redeems the dignity of patients who experience psychological suffering situations. The present dissertation investigated and problematized the importance of humanized treatment, since patients were once abandoned by their own families. Here, we seek to reflect on the mental health care reform movements in Brazil and the consequent advances and setbacks in public health care policies, having as a case study one of the largest and most outstanding psychiatric hospitals in Brazil before the
Psychiatric Reform, the CHPB, Barbacena Psychiatric Hospital Center. Despite opposing forces arising from movements and institutions which use their influence for an effective segregation of the society, we consider that this does not damage the humanization movement proposed by the CHPB such as psychosocial forms of care aimed to promote the deinstitutionalization of treatment, even in the intramural hospital space. An analysis which accounts for a professional experience developed within the institution and enhanced with anti-asylum studies and movements focusing on the review of laws and regulatory frameworks analyzed and duly understood resulted in various considerations about the aforementioned theme. Other objectives pursued by the present research were to analyze and discuss, based on this professional trajectory, the possibilities of producing an expanded psychological clinic in the context of Mental Health Care, as well as understanding the advances and setbacks present in Public Care Policies for Mental Health in Minas Gerais, particularly in Barbacena, a traditional stage of violence and production of asylum practices that were once compared to those of concentration camps. It is worth mentioning that this research had three relevant points as a bias, namely: the theoretical, activist and political influence of the anti-asylum movement and, consequently, commitment to it; the researcher's
own personal and work experience, and, last but not least, all the daily affections that make up our personal, work and academic journeys, making this text and this work an academic effort, but also the transfer of everyday affections and feelings, which make me, and give meaning to my working. This is a qualitative, bibliographic and documentary research, which sought to answer and provide subsidies for the guiding question that was to investigate, in times of advances and setbacks in public mental health policies, what is the possible and necessary end for the CHPB. Obviously, the question raised two perspectives that were considered, the first10 being to investigate and analyze the process of closing psychiatric beds, which would imply in the closure of this institution as a living space for people and the second, to analyze the questions about the end understood as a purpose: what is it still intended for? What does the CHPB serve as a mental health care institution in the social context of reference? What does it serve as a hospital inpatient space? What does it serve as a provider of other services to the Psychosocial Care Network?

  • Body image (BI) is defined as the individual's perception of the body. Diverse clinical, social, health and psychological outcomes can affect the perception of BI. There is evidence indicating that personality can influence the way a person experiences and perceives his own body. Young adults, especially females, are more prone to body dissatisfaction. University students who in most cases are young are more susceptible to psychological suffering, and weight gain. Therefore, they are a vulnerable group that demands investigations and care. Based on these considerations, the present thesis aimed to deepen the knowledge about the relationships between personality and body image in university students. For this purpose, two studies were carried out. The first one refers to a systematic review of the literature to analyze the association between these variables in university students. The results of the systematic review were analyzed from seven studies that met the inclusion criteria. It was found that the high expression of Neuroticism was unanimously associated with dissatisfaction with body image in all the studies analyzed. The factors Extroversion and Conscientiousness were also shown to be related to satisfaction with body image in most studies. Less blunt evidence was found for Agreeableness and Openness, with divergent results between studies. The second study, an empirical one, investigated relationships between body image (global and with different body dimensions), with personality factors and facets. Relationships between body image and participants' sex, body mass index (BMI), income, and use of social networks were also evaluated. The sample consisted of 398 university students aged between 18 and 55 years, 74.4% female. Body image was assessed with a dichotomous instrument (Silhouettes Test) and a multidimensional instrument (Situational Body Satisfaction Scale - ESSC). The results found differences in the relationship of personality with BI depending on the instrument used. When using the Silhouettes Test, only Neuroticism was related to body image. When using the multidimensional instrument, all factors, except for Agreeableness, were related to the construct, although the associations with body satisfaction are stronger, in that order, with low Neuroticism and with high levels of Extroversion and Conscientiousness. Relationships between BI and BMI, income and use of social networks were identified. The multivariate model identified a different magnitude of the association between body image, personality, BMI, income, and use of social networks by sex, confirming the need to consider the last variable in studies on the field. The results of this thesis are unprecedented and promising in Brazil and may be of interest to researchers and health professionals who work with young people who experience negative self-perceptions of the body.

  • By denying human sexuality, in many ways, religious sexual morality forged an ideal of sanctity based on the disregard of the pleasure principle, from where it advocated the imperative of repression and reduced sexuality heteronormatively to the function of procreation. Based on this data, the purpose of this paper is to present the psychopathological incidents resulting from the impondered submission to the aforementioned religious norms, as well as to describe in metapsychological terms the suffering resulting from this ill-fated process of sanctification under the aegis of the notion of sanctity neurosis. For that, we will carry out a theoretical research with psychoanalytic framework, from which we will make an incursion in the notion of sexuality in the symptomatic pictures of neurosis, in order to apprehend how it is located and operates in this field. Furthermore, we will correlate the Freudian theses about the libidinal economy in the genesis of neuroses, as well as the metapsychological principles that support them to the premise that, in some clinical cases, the ascetic ideal of sanctity can present itself in the function of the formal envelope of the neurotic symptom. Thus, we intend to demonstrate that holiness, conceived in terms of ritual-devotional practice and / or ascetic-spiritual exercise, shows itself to many practitioners of the faith as a commitment formation that, at the same time, includes the demands of repression and covers your possible symptomatic picture of religious meaning and legitimizes it, configuring, therefore, what we conjecture as holy neurosis.

  • Suicidal ideation is considered one of the main risk factors for suicide and refers to desires, attitudes, or plans about suicide. There is evidence that social skills can act as a protective factor for suicide. However, there is a lack of studies on the specific relationship between deficits in social skills as a possible risk factor, showing that the influence of this variable on suicidal ideation and behavior still needs to be better clarified. Based on the above, the present work consisted of a literature review of existing empirical research on social skills, its correlates, and the occurrence of suicidal ideation in adolescence, identifying and describing articles that characterized this repertoire and performing a double-judge analysis of the characteristics of the research in terms of the following categories: year of publication, sample size, instruments used, and results found. Furthermore, with regard to the results of the studies, we aimed to identify and describe the associations between social skills, their correlates, and the occurrence of suicidal ideation in adolescence, using a grouping into three sets of results: (1) Parenting styles and social skills, (2) Adolescents' specific classes of social skills, and (3) Correlates of social skills. The search was carried out in LILACS, Scielo, PubMED, ScienceDirect, and PsycINFO indexes with the combination of selected descriptors, using the following keywords: social skills, suicidal ideation, and adolescents. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria by two judges, 14 articles were selected to be read in full and analyzed in this study. The results of the review showed that the number of empirical studies aimed to investigate the relationship between social skills and suicidal ideation in adolescence is still incipient. In general, a negative correlation trend was found between suicidal ideation in adolescents and a set of variables related to parenting styles, specific classes of social skills and correlates of social skills. These results may have implications for the conduct of future studies of evaluation and intervention with adolescents with suicidal ideation.

  • Users’ satisfaction is considered a mesure of mental health services quality. However, few studies have evaluated satisfaction regarding residences for psychiatric patients and there is no specific instrument in brazilian context for this kind of evaluation. The goal of this research was to do the transcultural adaptation of the Questionnaire sur la Satisfaction de la Clientèle en Résidence D’Accuei l(QSHS-21), which evaluates the satisfaction of these residents. The procedure included four phases: translation of the original scale, re- translation, analyses by an Expert Commitee and a Pilot Study with a sample of 30 residents in the city of Barbacena/ MG. Results showed corrections made based on translations and retranslations, transcultural adaptation of the scale by the Expert Commitee and modifications in the questions wording during the Pilot Study with residents in order to make it easy to understand. The final version of the scale has conceptual equivalence with the original scale, is adapted to the brazilian context and is easy to understand by the target population. Results showed corrections in the translation and retranslation versions and scale adaptation from the Expert Commitee and ,modifications of the questions wording durint the Pilot Study. The final version has semantic and conceptual equivalence to the original scale, is adapted to the residence context and is easely understood by the target population.

  • In the literary work “Civilization and It’s Discontents”, from 1930, Sigmund Freud works on the disturbed relationship that the individual has with the culture, which he calls discontent. In this book Freud brings ways to deal with this discontent: religion, love, the use of narcotics, art, and sublimation, being the last one the focus of this study. Roughly speaking, the sublimation is the libido displacement for more socially elevated purposes, such as, for example, work, science, artistic and literary creation. It’s from the idea of discontent, the concept sublimation and its application to make out the discontent, that we will investigate the vicissitudes of the novel “Anguish” by Graciliano Ramos. This work has a special feature because, in it, Luís da Silva, who is the narrator and the main character, after feeling the discontent of his era, tells the story that he lived and makes use of this narrative, which is a literary creation, to elaborate his drive caused conflicts. After murdering Julião Tavares, his rival, Luís falls into a wasting process caused by the guilt for the act.His last attempt at dealing with his thoughts is to write and try to work out his problems through his story. The result is a novel that was written and narrated by him. Saying that, the goal of this research is to work the concepts of discontent and sublimation as a way to deal with this sensation and to understand how we can apply this theme in Graciliano Ramos’ literary work, bringing its similarities and differences.

  • This research presents a longitudinal analysis of the contributions of the guitar workshops, offered by the Program playful and musical activities in the Brinquedoteca and Lan House of UFSJ, for the musical development of adolescents in shelter situation as a protective measure. The study is based on the Spiral Theory of Musical Development by Swanwick and Tillman (1986) and uses the Grounded Theory as a qualitative analysis methodology (Charmaz, 2009). Data were collected in musicalization workshops held with adolescents by notes taken in diaries and exercise recordings. The performances and creations of the participants were submitted to three experienced judges in Music and in Music Education, whom participated in a training on the spiral and on the categories observed. Each judge rated the productions according to the spiral's proposal. Interviews were conducted with the judges to understand the results pointed out by them. The discussions and the results derived from the evaluations of the products collected during the workshops, indicated differences between the judges' evaluations, mainly related to the indication of the level of the spiral recognized for each participant, althugh the data pointed to the understanding that the participants achieved musical development . However, it is considered that it is important to develop its own method of evaluating the levels of the spiral, due to the importance of the Spiral Theory approach for the understanding of musical development.

  • Racism generates objective and subjective impediments to Brazilian black men and women, individually and collectively, being deeply intertwined with machismo, sexism and class inequality, as the Intersectionality framework points out. Epistemic racism has favored the sovereignty of a single form of knowledge, that of Modern Science, leading to the extinction of other varied existing knowledge, as well as its social actors, such as the Brazilian black people. However, the peripheral black population has historically created coping strategies in relation to these oppressions, the Hip Hop Movement is one of them, using art and political engagement as tools for transmitting knowledge, which is even conceived as one of its artistic elements. This research aimed to understand the configurations and contradictions in the production process of the Black Political Identity of a black DJ and a black Mc from the Hip Hop Movement of São João Del Rei, both residents of the city's outskirts. To achieve this objective, the Oral History methodology was used. As a result, a documentary was produced with members of the Hip Hop Movement in the city, as well as, based on individual thematic interviews and an elaborated autobiography, it was found that the Hip Hop Ideology worked as an instrument for the redefinition of self-esteem and implications psychosocial problems caused by oppression experienced within the family, in the school environment and in the world of work, as well as those suffered through police violence. In addition to the dissertation, a video was produced about the history of Hip Hop in São João Del Rei.

  • This master thesis proposes to analyze the specifics of the role of psychologists in Reference Centers for Social Assistance (CRAS) and the contribution of Community Social Psychology to this work field, focusing on the micro-region of São João del-Rei. To this end, two methods of data production were used: narrative literature review on the subject and semi-structured interviews conducted with five psychologists inserted in five CRAS in São João del-Rei and region. The initial chapters addressed Social Psychology in Brazil and Latin America; the trajectory and the epistemological, methodological and ethical aspects of Community Social Psychology; and the Social Assistance in Brazil. The procedure used to process the results was content thematic analysis, from which three categories and ten analytical subcategories were created. They made it possible to highlight and discuss the main activities as well as some of the problems, challenges, possibilities and advances present in the daily work of psychology at CRAS. Finally, the various discussions and reflections contained in this research make it possible to demonstrate that Community Social Psychology can be used as a theoretical, political and ethical framework capable of supporting the actions of psychologists who work in Basic Protection of Social Assistance /CRAS.

  • The present research work starts from the thesis of the irreducibility of the malaise in culture to demonstrate how neoliberalism configures an ideological management of the malaise in contemporaneity. One of the main socialization strategies present in neoliberalism is the management of psychic suffering through the production of diagnoses through the psychiatric discourse. Among these diagnoses is the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which has been diagnosed in thousands of subjects around the world, mainly among children and adolescents. Our general objective is to demonstrate how the expansion of these diagnoses reflects the neoliberal management of psychological distress. Therefore, we carry out a theoretical articulation, based on psychoanalysis, which aims to show how the malaise points to a radical inadequacy of the subject to cultural programs and also how neoliberalism will try to buffer the malaise by promoting a form of life that is based on the principle of competition and on the business model as a subjective norm. We defend that the promotion of this way of life cannot be done without the production of subjectivities based on psychiatric diagnoses and we believe that ADHD diagnoses are a very illustrative example of this.

  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD) comprises a set of behavioral (executive capacity), cognitive (obsessive thoughts) and physiological (craving, tachycardia, agitation, drowsiness, etc.) changes that develop as a result of the repetitive consumption of one or more preferential substances to the detriment of their daily activities. This investigation aimed to identify how sociodemographic, affective and clinical variables are manifested in a population of people diagnosed with SUD, in addition to verifying the association between them and which factors may suggest an initial intervention for institutionalized people with this clinical condition. The population consisted of 251 participants who used alcohol (n=102) and other drugs (n=149) from therapeutic communities and involuntary therapeutic clinics. Participants had a mean age among alcoholics of 42 years (SD=9.45) and 33 years (SD=8.94) for drug users. The average age of onset of alcohol use was 15.3 years (SD=3.32) and drug users 18.9 years (SD=6.80). The results showed that both alcoholics and drug users have a low repertoire in coping skills and high levels of social anxiety. Using network analysis we also demonstrated that the social anxiety variables, for alcohol users, and the coping skills variables, for drug users, should initially receive interventions to produce effects on users of psychoactive substances.

  • This work focuses on the field of institutional protective shelter for children and adolescents in Brazil, with the goal of identifying the place of these subjects' discourse in the protective system that helds them.  Therefore, legal texts and technical regulations that guide the field of Public Policies for the protection of childhood and adolescence were analyzed.   Interviews with workers who were part of the so named technical team of a shelter located in the interior of Minas Gerais were also carried out.  Besides that, at a certain point in the research path, my insertion in the field has been done, since I have been hired by the shelter to be part of its staff. This admittance allowed contact with the sheltered children and adolescents, this contact would not have occurred in other circumstances, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.  Thus, based on the assumptions of Psychoanalytic Theory, an analysis of the discourses that cross the field of protective shelter in Brazil was carried out.  Therefore, we mainly use the theory of the four discourses proposed by Jacques Lacan in seminars 16 and 17. From this analysis, we infer that the legal text works as a Discourse of the Master, once it is taken as a flawless prescription, that if well followed, would guarantee overall wellness.  On the other hand, the diagnostic studies of families that suffer state intervention in the model of removal of children has as a University Discourse role, considering that it is often a specialized knowledge that is intended as an evaluator of the circumstances experienced, based on external and as quite objective criteria. Finally, we note that the speech of the sheltered works as a Discourse of the Hysteric, whereas it promotes a series of denunciations - in words and in deeds - to the closed and uninterrupted operation that the system promotes.  At this point, we even identify a holophrastic functioning of the given name to the institution: Casa-Lar. Significant, this one, that when circulates, attests the lack of intervals for the subjective positioning of all who circulate in the shelter. After these analyses, we point out, finally, the inclusion of the Analytical Discourse in the field as a possibility of intervention that aims at the subjectivity of those involved, whether they are sheltered ones, shelter employees or other law enforcement agents.  Through the circulation of knowledge, we believe that the Analytical Discourse could contribute to the displacement of some discursive structures, promoting important openings in the field.

  • In Analytical Psychology, the study of children was marked by a series of fantasies about childhood and diverse perspectives on the development of personality. For this reason, this work sought to investigate the conceptions about the phenomena related to childhood by explorating and comparing the ideas of C. G. Jung and the authors who historically structured the knowledge about children in the Jungian field, that is, Erich Neumann and Michael Fordham. For this, we took a hermeneutic path that allowed us to understand the horizons of the authors in order to make them dialogue based on their own material, mediated by the researcher in search of other theoretical arrangements and questions for the study of childhood. In this sense, we identify how childhood has been a category of experience constructed by adults and by culture, as it is marked by fantasies of minority that sometimes place children in an object position in relation to them. In face of this context, analytical theories were produced based on positions that we call ethical and, in addition, they approached childhood phenomena emphasizing different methodological tools: storytelling, systematic development, symbolic language. Although they are commonly used together, the authors also have fundamental divergences, and we seek to emphasize the phenomenon as the ultimate regulator of these tensions, highlighting how their perspectives can be a lens to facilitate observation.

  • The Psychiatric Brazilian Reform started in the early 70’s of the twentieth century and five decades later it is still in maintenance and self-criticism process. Before the latest political and social movements in our country, we have reached a critical stage where much of the progress made on this process can be dissolved with politics and services that most of the time are not befitting with the Brazilian reality. The alcohol and other drugs field is, at this moment, the most vulnerable when facing the current forces in which are found at the Brazilian juridical-political command and therefore we need to turn our attention to the ones who are not heard so often: the society in general. The main objective of this study was to understand, from the social representations of family members of users and health professionals, about some objects of representation in the field of alcohol and other drugs (use, users, family of users, health professionals, theoretical models, treatments etc.), the communication between the technical-assistance and sociocultural dimensions of the field of mental health and psychosocial care. Based on the Social Representations Theory by the social psychologist Serge Moscovici, we will identify, understand and compare the social representations that determine the comprehension forms and the actions of the different groups, relatives and professionals, about several phenomena presented in the alcohol and other drugs area, being communication the way of expression of these processes. This study is considered as qualitative nature where the data collect was through semi structured interviews and the data analysis by the “Content Analysis Method” by Laurence Bardin. Based on the collected data, it was noticed that the communication between relatives and professionals linked to APADEQ was more fluid than to the relatives and professionals linked to CAPS AD. The interpretation of these results was, mainly, due to the contributions from Serge Moscovici with the “Social Representations Theory” and from the Italian psychiatrist Franco Basaglie, with his theorical assumption studies on the psychiatric reform.

  • Alves, T. F. (2021). Between politics and psychoanalytic clinic: therapeutic accompaniment as a device for psychiatric reform. [Master dissertation, Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei]

The present essay investigates the intersections and articulations between mental health policy and psychoanalytic clinic. This research comes from a practical experience in therapeutic accompaniment in the substitutive services of the Psychosocial Care Network. Faced with the phenomenon of chronification and bureaucracy, characteristics of the structure of public policy, we argued that psychoanalysis can operate. The Lacanian psychoanalysis’s fundaments can contribute to the work with psychosis and support the team, in front of the faced demands. The care to the subject’s position in language and their uniqueness, originated concepts of the Lacanian perspective of psychoses, allows psychosocial rehabilitation strategies to be established in a project that advances in the psychotic subject’s care and doesn't restrict itself in a welfare ideals-based assistance.

  • This research has as theme the training/formation in Psychology in its links with the health of the student of this graduation and the Art, with the objective of analyzing the role of the latter as a power of the student's health in the formation process in this area. It is a study of qualitative methodology, using the intervention-research strategy. It was held at the Federal University of São João del-Rei, with 19 of its students. The study was carried out in the context of the pandemic corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) and, therefore, field procedures were performed remotely. Use was made of an invitation-video that virtually publicized the survey and an electronic form for registration of interested parties. As a data production technique, semi-structured interviews were used, organized around three cores (formation in Psychology, student health and Art). The interviews took place on video calling platforms and their audios were recorded and transcribed. For analysis of the material produced, the constructs of French Discourse Analysis were taken. The main results found relate to a perception of students that formation takes place between transforming movements (of position, opinions and worldviews) and an established rigidity that is expressed through curricula and requirements to be met. In this sense, themes such as exacerbated productivism, multiplicity (of theories and fields of action) and formation of critical thinking were highlighted as outstanding elements in the formation of Psychology at UFSJ. The notions of health expressed by the students are diverse and stand out, mainly, for a multiplicity of factors that involve them. However, while some brought this multiplicity more connected to a mind-body division, in an individualizing perspective, linked to the absence of disease, well-being with oneself and the idea of happiness, others problematized these conceptions and pointed out the importance of a connection with the political-economic context, also considering collective aspects, such as basic sanitation, housing, family relationships, putting into question the power structures that define what is or is not healthy. In the students' perceptions about the relationship between the formation process in Psychology and their health, there are positive influences (such as the improvement of self-knowledge) and also negative ones (such as the subjective affectations produced by the object of study of Psychology, which often deal with the suffering) of the Psychology Course. Art as an “exhaust valve” presented itself as a necessary articulator for the understanding of its power in the students' experience. Other strategies pointed out by the students as ways to deal with the suffering produced by formation: taking breaks in the routine, building support networks and especially the use of psychotherapy.  Even  so,  the contact  with  Art  was  highlighted by  the students  as  a fundamental strategy both in terms of personal experiences and in the field of a more comprehensive professional formation. It is concluded that Art presents itself as a power for the health of students, although it should not and cannot be seen as the only resource facing the issue of illness in academic formation.

  • Lifestyle changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have affected the mental health of university students in different countries. We aimed to verify the role of self-compassion as a possible attenuating factor for the levels of anxiety in university students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to sociodemographic, occupational, lifestyle and health- related factors. Self-compassion was also analysed as moderator the effect of the impact of the pandemic on anxiety of participants. A sample of 1,201 undergraduate students participated in this cross-sectional study, who filled an online form containing the instruments Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21), and Impact of Event Scale with modifications for COVID-19 (IES-COVID19) and a General Characteristics Questionnaire. The results showed that higher self-compassion was the main variable associated with a lower level of anxiety compared to the investigated sociodemographic, occupational, lifestyle and health-related factors. It was found that being male, using predominantly natural or minimally processed foods daily, having a sleeping with quality, not using substances (such as caffeine) to deal with academic activities and not undergoing psychotherapy were also predictors of lower levels of anxiety. There was no presence of self-compassion moderation in the relationship between the level of impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and anxiety. Limitations are the use a non-probabilistic sample from a single higher education institution, and the use of a subscale as a measure of anxiety. It reinforces the need to invest in clinical and educational strategies that seek to promote mental health for university students during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, given that the effects of an event of this seriousness last for years and can bring even greater consequences in the future. Develop coping strategies such as self-compassion, especially in difficult times, seems to be a possible way to alleviate distress and deal with the challenges imposed.

  • The objective of this research, done at the master's level, was to understand possible relationships between teachers' beliefs about the disability and the pedagogical practices they adopt. In order to contextualize the theme, discussions were held about the role of teachers in the construction of a truly inclusive education, the beliefs they have about disability that they take as conceptions, the models of disability and the universal learning design (ULD) as an example of inclusive pedagogical practice. The research presents two stages. The first one, quantitative, characterized the 58 teacher support participants according to their beliefs about disability through two inventories analyzed using descriptive statistics and resulted in three clusters. The second one, qualitative, was a content analysis made from the 32 notebooks provided by the schools. Four clusters were found based on the categories that were repeated in the pedagogical practices reported. Through making the connection between beliefs and pedagogical practices it was possible to prove that the conception of disability/beliefs of the special education support teachers influences

the way they organize the educational process for students with special educational needs, and either may help it or make it almost impossible.

The suicide attempt is the most important risk factor for the occurrence of suicide. There is a relation between mental disorders and suicide attempt. Studies have investigated the factors associated with suicide attempt in the general population, however there is a lack of studies assessing this subject in consumers of mental health services. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of suicide attempts among users of a Center of Psychosocial Care in the city of São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, and their associated factors, sociodemographic and clinical. This is a Retrospective Cohort Survey and correlational type research, based on data from the service records of 808 patients. The records were selected according to a stratified and systematic sampling technique, during the period between 2004 and march de 2021. A sociodemographic and clinical questionnaire, built specifically for this research was used to collect data. The results showed that suicide attempt occurred in 35,50% of the medical records and suicidal ideation was present in 48,10% of them. The most frequent means of suicide attempt was self intoxication (38,68%). In the Chi-square analyses, the following variables were significantly related to the attempted suicide: Affective Disorders diagnostics (F30-39), being female, having lower age in the sample (mean sample age 34,42), being married, or living with a partner, living with a secondary family, having more than eight years of study and having a job. Logistic regression analysis indicated four predictor factors of suicide attempt: Affective Disorders diagnosis, marital status, sex and age. Patients with Affective disorders were 2,7 more likely to attempt suicide than others; women were 48,80% more likely to attempt suicide than men; those living with a partner had a 67,30% greater chance of attempting suicide than singles; and at every one-year increase in the individual's age, the chances of attempting suicide reduced by 4,70%. This research can be considered as an advance in the area, considering the lack of published studies on this subject with this target population. Future studies should extend these analyzes.

  • Freud's genius is that he noticed that the anatomy of the sexes was not what really mattered. It is not a question of apprehending the difference between organs and chromosomes, that is, the reality of sex has nothing to do with the real anatomical organ, because as it turns out Lacan by the function that comes from the discourse, sex has become a signifier. However, the only sex represented in the unconscious is what relates to the male, to the phallus. In other ways, there is only one sex, the phallus and two ways of manifestation: presence or absence. Thus, if there is no declared female sex, femininity cannot be considered as a being, but as a become. It is from this that the phenomenon of devastation can occur, because in the search for a signifier that gives contour to your being a woman, the girl is ores to the demands of traditional society and her mother and her enigmatic desire, which do not give her any significant. The objective of this research then is, from the Freudian impasses regarding the constitution of the feminine being, to arrive at Lacan's theorization, who was able to advance and reformulate the concept of sexuality, betting on sexuation and the subjects' ways of enjoyment and answer about what it is about the devastation, using the cases of Dora and the young homosexual and, contemporary to our time, that of Ângela Diniz.

  • Researches point to agression and victimization social roles in adolescents as learned
behaviour from familiar members role models, which would be one of the main predictors
of the intergeneracional violence. We base our research on the Marxist perspective, which
looks for the understanding of the internal laws of the phenomenon. The intergenerational
violence was our starting point to the real knowledge of intrafamily violence (IV) as our
study object, investigating their effects on the personality formation of adolescents. For
us, the IV is determined by the social production organization of capitalist society. The
family, as ideological agent, replays the structural violence in their relations, accordingly
to the standards set by the hygienist medicine in the 20th century. The family, currently,
is stablished as the psychic structuring locus of their members, which determines the
beings’ personality formation process. The early adolescence, featured by intimate-
personal communication activity, is more focused on the peer relationships, which makes
it more likely to replays violence content in relationships with others. We made our
investigation by the premises of the dialectical historical materialist method, implemented
by the relation between singular-particular-universal worked by Lukács. We collected our
data in a social assistance set on a country town located in the Minas Gerais. We did a
participant observation for 3 months in two craftwork groups of teenagers, writing a field
journal. 5 girls participated in our research, with ages between 11 and 15 years old. Data
were collected by two semi-sctructured interview with each girl, followed by 3 focus
group sessions on the adolescent groups. In the reports that came up in our investigation,
the IV is directly related to the schooling, so that family-school form the main pair of
ideological agents in the formation of adolescent personality. The gender violence was
the most important way of identification of the exposure to IV. We consider that the
violent gender relationships are the primary form of learning about submission and
domination relationships in this population. On the reports, the family plays through the
love-authority binomial to get personalities that trivialise and naturalise violence
situations, making them vulnerable to accept the alienated labor in our society, in which
    the being alienates itself.

This research aimed to evaluate the satisfaction and burden of professionals who work in small mental health services situated in small counties of the region of Itabira, Minas Gerais and associated factors. We interviewed 42 profissionals, using the rating scales SATIS-BR e IMPACTO-BR and a sociodemographic and ocupational questionnaire. The results showed that the professionals were between “more or less satisfied” and “satisfied” with services (global score 3,44). Subscales satisfaction scores were also between 3 e 4, indicating the same trend. Regarding the mesure of work impact, the result of global score (2,01) was close to the classification of “no burden” (1 e 2) and two of the subscales (subscale 2: impact of work on the functioning of the team and subscale 3: emotional consequence of work overload) had values between 2 and 3, indicating that the professionals were feeling between “no burden” and “moderate burden”. Specifics items results showed insatisfaction with work conditions, salary, infrastracture andsecurity. Burden was related to frustration with treatment results, the fact of working with psychiatric patients, the physical fatigue and fear of being agressed. Multiple regression analysis showed that less “duration of work” in the service was the only predictor factor for more professional burden (p = 0,00) and being psychologist or nurse was the only predictor factor for less satisfaction with service, compared to others professionals (p = 0,04). The results showed the perception of the professionals regarding the service, indicated variables to be acounted for in order to improve service quality and pointed to the importance of evaluating mental health services in small counties in order to have a better compreensive picture of the impact of services to these professionals.

  • The present study aimed to analyze and produce interventions that enhance the deconstruction of racism in a public school, understanding race as a social, cultural and political construct that crosses social institutions and acquires materiality by favoring or hindering access, opportunities and places. This notion of race is produced and permeates the field of Brazilian schools, since racism, being structural, systemic and institutional, operates in the concrete lives of professionals, students and their families, but also the educational spaces are a power to engender transformations beyond complaints. Thus, an intervention research was developed, which seeks to question and transform collective institutional practices, in a municipal public school in the interior of Minas Gerais, through participant observation, records in field diaries and discussion groups, in the first semester of 2019. The information produced was discussed using analyzers and the dimension of social practice that makes up Critical Discourse Analysis. This process in the field made it possible to understand contextual and relational aspects experienced in daily life and the construction of bonds with the school community, based on an implied, reflective and non- neutral position of the researcher. Three groups were formed: 12 participants of the teaching and management team, in a total of 12 meetings; four participants from the school support services team, four meetings were held and 12 participants from the group of 4th year student children, in a total of eight meetings. The analyzes showed that the movements to deconstruct racism were constituted in different ways, developing in the sense of affirming their impacts and nuances in the relationships, invention of coping potentialities and changes in the conceptions that guide social and school practices. The racial diversity present among the actors made it possible to reflect on and problematize whiteness as a place considered a universal model of humanity, so that white participants were also invited to be involved in the discussions, when they recognized themselves as racialized. Affirming the centrality of race relations is necessary to promote work that moves towards the deconstruction of stereotyped conceptions and the valorization of the diversity of bodies, colors and races, linked to the other markers of gender, class, age and territory of the social subjects that they daily produce their practices and reinvent themselves in the spaces of Brazilian schools.

  • The people with hearing loss, nowadays, represents around 5% of the world's population and are the favorites for occupying the reserved jobs by the law of quotas because, according to managers, it is needed less adaptation in the work environment and they have a bigger social adaptation (Suzano 2011). However, international researches are showing that they are being confronted with several problems, facing accessibility constraints like communication, prejudice, and stigmatization (Tye_Murray, Spry e Mauzé, 2009). This research has, as the principal goal, identify what are these difficulties in Brazilians workers with hearing loss and what are the ultimate strategies of those people for their inclusion in labor activity. In this scenario, the investigation intended to analyze the organization support received for these people to minimize the impacts of there hearing loss. In this research was interviewed 12 people with hearing loss of degree mild to moderately severe, ages between 21 and 54. This sample is composed of seven women and five men, all of them with bilateral hearing loss including causes sensorineural, conductive and mixed. Nine of the twelve participants use hearing aids. To collect the data was used semi-structured interviews and for analysis, the thematic-categorical, proposed by Bandin (2016). The interviews showed that the main difficulties of those people, in the work environment, are in the communication field and the attitudinal one. Regarding social barriers, it was possible to verify that they have difficulties with group conversations, meetings with many people, and they also complain about the intonation voice of the coworkers when it is lower, faster or whispered. In attitudinal barriers, it was possible to see that, people with hearing loss are often the target of games and discrimination, because of their difficulty in understanding speech and for the use of hearing aids. Therefore, these people tend to develop strategies to understand the message or to feel inserted in the situation, however, they tend to give up or isolate themselves when the difficulty remains. The difficulty of listening in certain situations and the lack of accessibility in the work environment creates constraints, marginalization, and disqualification for these people. In the organizational support subject, only three respondents reported receiving this kind of assistance. However, they need adaptations in equipment and a favorable and patient environment, which understands their difficulties and helps them in the barriers which they face.

  • The entrance to Higher Education is accompanied by several challenges for students, in their difficulties of adaptation, in the changes in their relationships, in the distance from their place of origin, in the breaking of expectations and insufficient support networks, generating unease and an unhealthy lifestyle. Therefore, the mental health of university students, considered from an expanded perspective, may be compromised by the symptoms of psychic suffering resulting from difficulties experienced in the academic environment and psychosocial damage common to this period. In turn, students of Psychology, besides being subject to such risks, are frequently in contact with human suffering in its most varied forms, be it in the subjects studied or in practical experiences. The problems arising from its relationship with the course, the high workloads and the instabilities of the field are still little reported in the literature and in institutional dialogues. The concept of Common Mental Disorders (CMDs) was used to understand the psychic suffering in the public in question. It was sought to understand the psychic suffering of the Psychology student at a public university in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. To this end, a case study was used in a multi-methodological ap- proach using the focal group, the SRQ-20 and a sociodemographic questionnaire as instru- ments. Three focus groups were carried out, each with the participation of students from dif- ferent moments of the course: beginning, middle and end. From the collected data, the results were listed thematic axes, which indicate the occurrence of CMTs in the studied population. Psychosocial losses were demonstrated as a source of psychic suffering, mainly in its relation with the Psychology course, becoming more harmful in face of the insufficient institutional support described by the participants. The results meet the studies on CMTs in health students and express the need to formulate specific policies of attention to the Psychology student, focused on pedagogical support strategies, welcoming actions, practices aimed at promoting health and reducing risk factors to this public.

  • Soccer fans’ aggression results in serious consequences for individuals and society, causing many deaths and injuries to followers of the sport. Studies on this topic are increasing, but it is observed that researchers seek explanations for this phenomenon mainly in extrinsic variables. However, it is known that intrinsic/personal characteristics, such as personality, can also predictstheaggressive behavior. The main objective of this thesiswas to contribute with knowledgeabout the relationship between personality and aggressiveness in soccer fans. For this, two studies were carried out: the first is a systematic review and the second is an empiricalstudy. The systematic literature review was performed using items from the PRISMA checklistto verify studies that investigated the relationship between these variables. Searches of studies published in the past 30 years were made in the indexes BVS, LILACS, PePSIC, PsycINFO, SciELO, Science Direct (Elsevier), Scopus and Web ofScience, using relevant descriptors associated with the thematic. After adopting inclusion and exclusion criteria, threestudies remained. The results of the studies indicated that there are relationships between personality traits and physical and verbalfansaggression. However, there was a lack of studies on the subject, in addition to very different methodologies between studies. In addition, some limitations were found, specially related tomethodology, sample and instruments used. Consideringresults of the systematic review, a new empirical study was justified to investigate the relationship between personality and aggression (Study 2). Study sample included 210 soccer fans, 105 belonging to organized fans (TO) and 105 not belonging (TnO). The average age for TO group was 26.8 years (SD = 7.9) and for TnO group was 26.6 (SD = 7.8). Study years average was 16.3 years (SD = 3.3) for TO group and 16.2 years (SD = 2.8) for TnO group. There were no significant differences between groups relating to sex, age and years of study variables. The aim was to mitigate and / or remedy the failures of previous studies.Instruments used in data collection included: (1) Sociodemographic and occupational questionnaire, (2) Soccerfans' habits and conduct questionnaire, (3) Soccer Fans' Fanaticism Scale; (4) Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire, and (5) Revised NEO Personality Inventory. In previous studies, fanaticism has shown links to aggressive behavior. Based on this assumption, itwas evaluated andassociatedto aggressiveness, tryingto understand itsrole in fansbehavior. The main result showed that personality traits were predictors of aggression, especially when fanaticism acted as a mediator of this relationship. Results indicate that when mediated by fanaticism, high scores for Neuroticism (ß = 0.324;p= .000) and Extraversion (ß = 0.197;p= .001) and low scores for Openness (ß = -0.151;p= .031) and Agreeableness (ß = -0.218;p= .004) increased the predictive power of personality factors on fans’ aggressiveness. In addition, the aggressiveness showed correlations with soccer fanscharacteristics, habits and behavior. It was concludedabout the importance of fanaticism and individual personality differences in the understanding of aggressiveness in the context of soccer fans, and these variables should be considered in research and in practice.

  • Youth protagonism / participation has been presented as a way to bring young people into action in different contexts, including in Education. Based on an emancipatory and critical perspective of human development, which defends school practices that allow a democratic education, this study aims to identify and analyze how dimensions that collaborate or not for the development of protagonist / participatory pedagogical practices. It is an action research, carried out with teenagers and part of the professional team of the state public school of Minas Gerais. As instruments, they were used for participant observation, focus group, emancipatory workshop and field diary, and the data used were organized around meaning cores and discussed based on Pêucheux's Discourse Analysis. The results include: a description of the conditions in which (the) school actors coexist; an understanding of the perceptions of students and the school team about adolescence, youth protagonism / participation and the role of the school in this process; the identification of pedagogical practices aimed at the participation of adolescents; the difficulties and potentialities found in the process of mobilizing research participants to carry out protagonist / participatory pedagogical practices; and a description of the school psychologist's possibilities of action to assist in the development of this type of practices. Six dimensions were listed that collaborate or not for the development of these pedagogical practices: bureaucratic, school management, material and financial, socio-cultural, organization of school and didactic- pedagogical work. These dimensions can introduce yourself, according institutional arrangements, as difficulties and / or potentialities, but in this investigation they ended up presenting themselves as difficulties, which need changes to become potentialities in the context of the researched school. They can also contribute to analyzes of the complex web of school processes, raising awareness among actors and strengthening the intention to reinvent the school and resist alienating and undemocratic reproductions. For this, interdisciplinary, multiprofessional and networked work can enhance as actions, being the psychologist a partner in the search for emancipatory education.

  • The present investigation seeks to understand how the modes of subjectification of black women who serve prison sentences occur within a prison institution that adopts the APAC Method (Association of Protection and Assistance to Convicts) of criminal execution. The choice of black women as the main theme of this study was made through the observation that black women prisoners are at a disadvantage due to a slave society, which still maintains the segregation of economic, political and economic opportunities. educational. For that, three procedures present in the qualitative research were used, namely: participant observation with psychosocial intervention, daily conversations supported by Spink's theoretical- methodological approach and semi-structured interviews with prisoners who declared themselves black. The analysis of the data produced was carried out in the light of constructionist social psychology, based on an approach based on Spink's discursive  practices. The processes that go through the relationships established within a prison unit were analyzed from the theoretical methodological production of Michel Foucault and Erving Goffman. For a better understanding of the reality of black women, we used the contributions of Ângela Davis, Sueli Carneiro, Juliana Borges and other black intellectuals. The research results demonstrate that the Apaquean discourse reproduces and legitimizes the  discrimination of gender, race and class, which limits black women to the lowest level of the domination / exploitation system. In view of the data, we highlight the need to promote reflection on APACs, so that the APAC Method is strengthened as promoters of ethnic-racial and gender equity. Based on this research, we hope to contribute to the strengthening of the APAC method as promoters of a culture of respect for the human rights of prisoners. We  hope that this research will encourage new studies on the issue of female prison, especially in Apaquean units, which are still little known and studied.

  • This dissertation is the result of research on the development of the active imagination method by C. G. Jung and how it has been applied since then. C. G. Jung‟s developed an active imagination from his own experiences within a careful study in which he dedicated himself for many years. He found that due to the compensatory and self-healing capacities of the unconscious it can spontaneously produce symbols. And, in order to try to restore the psych balance it‟s necessary the ego to be in a condition where it‟s able to establish communication with the symbols to facilitate the transcendent function. This process can occur naturally, but it can also be facilitated by active imagination. It‟s a method where images are allowed to flow spontaneously, personification is created to them on the form of drawing, writing, dancing, etc., facilitating awareness of the original image. From this awareness, the sense of the image is brought into the daily reality. It‟s not just a matter of experiencing fantasies but integrating them and making them a bridge between the internal world and the external world. The practice is through amplification, which is the basis of the synthetic constructive method. The use of it‟s mainly indicated to people on advanced analysis levels, it relies on strengthened ego to deal with the intensity of the outcome of the unconscious. As seen in found results, active imagination has been having various applications, however, it has been found that some of them have departed significantly from its original state.

  • This work aims to understand the relationship between the Ifá oracle and the principle of synchronism in the work of C. G. Jung, promoting a communication of the African tradition, so present in the formation of the Brazilian imagination, with analytical psychology. As Ifá, the literary body of the Iorubá tradition, prioritizing the contribution of this knowledge to Psychology, that is, to the health of contemporary man and even to the current society, we will present the knowledge of this ancient oracle and its relations with the principle of synchronicity, this being a numinous phenomenon. The Iorubá tradition is an ethnic group forcibly immigrated to Brazil that had a great participation in the formation of the Brazilian imagination, which explains its importance. The research method needs to be a facilitator for the researcher and for the research, enabling ways for it to develop. We took as a choice the bibliographic documentary method, prioritizing authors with experience in African religions contributing with an “inside” look. It was decided to start from hermeneutics as a perspective for understanding the concepts and theories involved.

  • Therapeutic Accompaniment (TA) emerges in the 1970s in Argentina as a possibility to provide a new place for the occupation of madness. The work, which is mainly distinguished by the mobile setting, is the result of the Psychiatric Reform that questions the place given to madness. The brazilian reformist process has been advancing, but even so, there is criticism, in the field of psychoanalysis, pointing out it separates what is clinical and what is political, in other words, between what is subjective and what is social when related to madness. We believe psychoanalysis has a commitment to its time issues and needs to pay attention to the social phenomena that surrounds it. Therefore, in order to make the interaction between psychoanalysis and therapeutic accompaniment we propose the applied psychoanalysis method, which seeks to work with these phenomena that are beyond the traditional setting. This phenomenon studied here, the TA, is not necessarily clinical. The several ways of approaching it, sometimes, do not even bring this element as a theoretical discussion point. However, in this work, we defend the TA as a clinical apparatus, guided by the psychoanalytic clinic of psychoses, in order to overcome this existing barrier in the reformist process which separates the social from the subjetive and, consequently, ends up producing chronification. TA that allows the questioning of inclusion while adapting to the social norm cannot be done, in the perspective defended here, without taking into account the means of insertion of the individual in the field of language and the peculiar way in which he deals with his universe of signifiers. From there, we move towards a conclusion that starts from a proposal of enoding between TA, Psychiatric Reform and psychosis clinic. We discuss the possible ways of tying and production of a psychosis social bond during TA, in its subjective and social dimension, while companion and accompanied move around the city, taking the foreclosure as a possibility of inclusion that really makes sense to the subject.

  • Life design is a world-wide paradigm used on interventions in life trajectory, including career design, which can be measured by maturity. The main goal of this dissertation was to contribute to the knowledge about the vocational guidance applied in this paradigm for high school students. Two studies were carried out: the first is a systematic review and the second is empirical. A systematic review of the literature was performed using the PRISMA method, to verify studies that investigated vocational guidance based on the life project of high school students. Searches of studies published in the last 15 years were made using PsycINFO, SAGE, SciELO, Science Direct, Scopus and Web of Science indexes, with descriptors known in the subject. After the adoption of an inclusion and exclusion criteria, four studies remained in the study. The results of the studies indicate that the career interventions used were effective. However, there was a small number of studies on the subject with the target population in question. In addition, some limitations were found, the main ones being the main samples and lack of comparative and descriptive data. In view of the results of the systematic review, a new empirical study was justified to investigate the effects of interventions based on the life design in high school students, containing descriptive and comparative data (Study 2). The sample included students of both sexes from public and private schools, who did the intervention in two modalities and two different semesters. The results indicate that the intervention model used can be correlated with increasing maturity for professional choice. It is suggested that future research to contemplate all grades of high school and integrate quantitative and qualitative analyzes.

  • Magno-Silva, Welligton (2020). Prejudice and violence against gay university men: analysis of processes of hierarchy and social inferiority. Master's thesis, Graduate Program in Psychology PPGPSI / UFSJ, Department of Psychology, Federal University of São João del-Rei. São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais.

This dissertation aimed to understand how prejudice, as a mechanism for maintaining power relations and social hierarchy, operates in the context of the University,  in the face  of the reality of non-heterosexual students. This study is inscribed in the type of methodology called participatory and claiming, taking into account their commitment to a political agenda that seeks to transform the social reality of historically vulnerable people, so that the results of the study no longer produce suffering and exclusion. In addition, this perspective places specific aspects of social issues at the heart of its analysis, such as inequality, oppression, power relations, domination, etc. The present study was carried out on three campuses at a federal university in the interior of Minas Gerais. Seven students regularly enrolled in different undergraduate courses at this university participated in the research. To achieve the proposed objective, in an attempt to move beyond the limits of the discursive production of prejudice that naturalizes daily violence against non- heterosexuals, producing subordinate forms of existence, it was decided to listen to students who declared themselves to be gay men. Therefore, in a first stage, narrative interviews were carried out, considered as a form of unstructured and in-depth interview in which the researcher encourages his research subjects to tell stories about some important event in his life and the social context. In the second stage, a focus group was established with the participants. In addition to a methodological resource complementary to the narratives, this tool is seen as a potent political strategy to confront heteronormative systems, considering the human capacity to form critical opinions from the interaction with other individuals. Discourse analysis was used for the interpretation of the data produced, used in feminist perspectives, based on Foucauldian contributions. In this sense, our interpretations took into account the assumptions of intersectionality, reflexivity and situationality for the understanding of the phenomenon in question, placing power relations at the heart of our analyzes. We can see, from listening to gay university men, that there are aspects in common to the experiences of prejudice in their trajectories. Therefore, prior to access to the University, social instances, such as family, educational and religious environments, which should assume the role in the protection and individual and collective well-being of subjects in their subjectivation process, inscribed in the heteronormative logic, assume the role of reproducers of the mechanisms for hiding gay experiences. Upon entering an undergraduate course, these students continue to face the dynamics of prejudice through the “closet” of the University, either by explicit violence or by institutional omission and silencing in relation to the situations of prejudice that concern them. In addition, the way each subject experiences prejudice, to a greater or lesser degree, will be influenced by the area of knowledge and the location of the course at the University. Far from polarizing the debate between reproduction and social change, we demonstrate how this institution, instead of producing exclusion, can take a leading role in transforming the social reality of non-heterosexuals through the problematization of the heteronormative logic itself.

  • This research proposes a discussion on the research theme “judicialization of health”. Under the premise that public policies act in health promotion, prevention of the occurrence of injuries and recovery of patients, the importance of Psychology in the scope of the health system deserves to be highlighted. This is because, we start from the assumption, that one should not stick only to the right that the subject is entitled to the detriment of his own being, his emotions, the representation that he makes of his illness and the possibility of cure, or improvements in well-being. be that lead you to have, in fact, quality of life. Not only the disease should be considered, but the subject's existence and suffering to achieve comprehensive care, more precisely aimed at the diabetic. The disease and its consequences are responsible for two thirds of the disease burden in the world, Brazil is in the 4th place in the ranking of countries with the highest number of people with the disease. Thus, this research aims to understand the psychosocial implications of the process of judicialization of health for the identity of people with diabetes and how the acquisition of supplies and medicines for the treatment of diabetes, through justice, can contribute to the person's psychosocial inclusion process with diabetes. Also, comparatively analyzing processes of psychosocial inclusion of people contemplated and not contemplated by the lawsuit, and, finally, understanding how belonging to groups of diabetics (physical or virtual) contributes to the group identity of people with diabetes and to the defense of needs and rights diabetics. It was proposed to conduct this study with the people who went to court, the so-called judicialized subjects. Considering that the São João del-Rei DPA is a space where such subjects are or should be found, we sought to carry out the research with the subjects who experience judicialization. The Association is a reference place for diabetics in the city. It is marked by several collective social actions. With regard to the methodological strategies used for the production of the data, semi-structured interviews were carried out with the judicialized subjects, participant observation during the meetings held in the APD and the field diary. The results produced were grouped into thematic categories and subcategories of analysis, which made it possible to verify that the subjects' involvement with the issue of judicialization made it possible for them to experience a process of producing a new identity. What happened not only in the sense of leaving the condition of subject to subject, but, above all, from character-without-assistance to character-subject-judicialized. This when it comes to gain, because as for the implications of denying requests, these produced the figure of the dying character. As for belonging to groups, virtual or physical, it was found that the subjects took them as a reference for their conceptions of life and for the definition of their own identity. The experience of one when being shared with the other makes the subject move in search of the best conditions to have quality of life.

  • Title: Educational social skills of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder:

    literature review and empirical study.

Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have consistent deficits in social skills, becoming a priority group for studies and interventions in this area. In general, parents' educational social skills (ESS) constitute a repertoire empirically associated with their children's social skills. However, there is a lack of studies on the specific relationship between ESS of parents and HS of children with autism. The present work was divided into two studies. Study I consisted of reviewing the existing literature on SES of parents of children with ASD, describing articles that characterized this repertoire and performing a correspondence analysis, by a pair of judges, between studied parental behaviors and the Educational Social Skills System (ESSS) by Del Prette and Del Prette (2008). The search was performed using the LILACS, Scielo, PubMED, ScienceDirect and PsycoINFO indexers, to check the existing literature with the combination of selected descriptors. The absence of published articles was evidenced using the terminology as defined by the authors of the SESS. However, through the use of other concepts, parental behaviors studied in the English language articles corresponding to those in the ESSS were identified. It became evident that the ESS classes of monitoring positively and transmitting content of social skills were the most frequently addressed. Study II characterized the ESS repertoire of parents/caregivers of 62 children with ASD in the Campos das Vertentes micro-region and the associated sociodemographic and clinical variables. In addition, the correlation and the degree of prediction between the SES of the main caregivers and the social skills of their children were investigated. For this purpose, IHSE and SSRS instruments were used. The characterization of the parental and children's repertoire showed a performance below the normative sample of the instruments. Parents' ESS were positively correlated with children's social skills, with ASD. The establishment of limits and the induction of discipline, for example, were related to children's responsibility, affectivity/cooperation, civility and social resourcefulness. The ability to converse/dialogue was a strong predictor of children's social skills, suggesting that dialogue can take on important roles within parenting, whether instruction, model or modeling child behavior.

How you (un)do the gender and sexuality in the daily life of school education? This question, and some teaching experiences led me to question and try to verify how gender and sexuality (re)produce in the daily life of/in school education. From my teaching experience, we verified, through a participant observation research, based on an ethnography of school scenes, what strategies of (re)production of gender and sexuality norms, as well as what strategies are used or usable to resist these norms. From the production of a field diary, I was able to list five acts, which bring in themselves these strategies, being: first act: "playing one can say everything, even the truth", where scenes of "common" jokes take place of the school's daily life. Jokes that a priori do not seem too much, but that behind them, hide, if (re)produce norms of gender and norms about (good) sexuality. Second act: "your whisper to ask to ‘fuck’", scenes that bring in themselves, issues related to sexual practices, their forms, possibility and also curiosities and doubts. Third act: "how do you can love what you don't know?", scenes that deal with prejudice, common in the daily life of schools, little or nothing problematized, and that collaborates in maintaining norms and values. Fourth act: "give us this day our daily ‘machismo’", scenes where ‘machismo’ imposes itself, either directly against women, either internally, but always as a mechanism (prejudiced) to reiterate gender violence. And finally, the fifth act: "resist, because we exist", which brings a scene, which involves the question of the social name of a trans student. All these scenes, led us to problematize the school, reinforcing the idea that the school is a space and a heteronormative (and violent) institution, and that this heteronormativity reproduces in everyday life in school, without many problematizations and with few (possibilities) of resistance. The scenes also reveal and reinforce the weaknesses of these norms, as well as the possibilities of (continuing) resisting them, producing a pedagogy of recognition, and producing a school that is, in fact, local and space of (mis)matching, place and space of free-action, a space where they fit
‘all’(any gender), and that collaborates, from this remarkable characteristic, in the construction of an increasingly full and strong democracy. In addition, we also discuss some issues regarding (im)possible collaborations of Psychology in the field of education, and especially at school education, questioning if in the field and in the daily space of education, and especially school education, Psychology will remain normative or will be able to advance in debates and in the production of other theories and practices.

The link between psychoanalysis, mythology and literature goes back to the beginning of psychoanalytic theory, given the fruitful interest of its creator, Freud, in the most diverse artistic and cultural manifestations of humanity. Having these as representatives of a knowledge that anticipates what is pursued by psychoanalysis, that is, a knowledge about the unconscious. Such expressions appear in a large quantity in Freudian texts, helping in the exemplification or even in the explanation of the main concepts, as is the case of the Oedipus complex, narcissism, dream interpretation and many others. Likewise, Freud's widespread interest in artistic creation and the importance of fantasy and sublimation as fundamental elements for the subject's subjective constitution, as well as for the construction of a healthy and socially endorsed way of functioning of the subjects stand out amidst the demands of drive restraint, marked by social impositions, that at all times demand certain behaviors from subjects, considered as acceptable, and recriminate or punish other attitudes, understood as unacceptable. In addition, in these conceptions, the possibility of a way to deal with anguish is seen. The present research was redirected from the premise of the questions regarding this need to obtain drive satisfaction, based on the fact that desires encounter social barriers to become effective, since they are permeated by vehemently prohibited activities such as incest and parricide. Traveling the tortuous paths of desire, we analyze the close relationship between desire and guilt. Since these concepts are directly intertwined with other fundamental psychoanalytical notions, we seek desire from dreams, the unconscious and the drive. In the transition between desire and guilt, we analyzed the Oedipus complex and the formation of the superego as an indispensable psychic instance for the investigation regarding the feeling of guilt. This was identified as a topic of utmost importance for psychoanalytic theory, with several references to this feeling found throughout Freud's theory. However, we located our research between 1894 and 1930, demonstrating a theoretical evolution on the subject. Finally, following the model so often applied by Freud, we searched the literature for a model that seems significant to us to explore the researched concepts, the work Crime and Punishment by the Russian writer Fiódor Dostoiévski (1866/2001). The choice of this work met both a particular interest in the referred novelist as well as a cut in modern literature, having this writer as one of the most acclaimed novelists capable of capturing human suffering and his experience in the face of irremediable malaise. In this way, Raskólnikov brings us to the expressions of psychic suffering in the face of the failure to achieve satisfaction and achieve some success in trying to evade the feeling of guilt. Our analysis pointed us to the construction regarding the young character's family novel and the recurring demand that the symbolic law assures him recognition as guilty. Finally, moving forward in the identification of appropriate mechanisms to deal with malaise, we find in Lacan, with his savoir y faire, a concept that seemed to us to be indispensable for the mooring erected by the character, which seems to achieve some satisfaction by being recognized as criminal. With this, it is suggested that the character soothes his purging trajectory, being able, from then on, to erect a new construction of life, a know-how with suffering, which includes even loving and being loved.

  • The present dissertation is a theoretical investigation based on psychoanalysis, especially in Freud's texts, and this study intends to relate female masochism with female sexuality in conjunction with fantasy. To that end, it uses literature as a methodological resource to discuss the hypothesis that a possible feminine trait of fantasy proposes itself as a singular activity, a passion, functioning as an artifice of Eros to capture the fantasy universe of the other beloved. All of this even circumscribed in the dynamics of female masochism. To this end, two fields of knowledge were explored, psychoanalysis and literature. The first was based on a rescue of Freudian theories on female sexuality, feminine, fantasy and female masochism that made it possible to locate elements of metapsychology for an erotic feminine. In these terms, this work emphasizes that Freud deals with the topical aspect by showing that female sexuality is surrounded by the fantasy that constitutes itself as the nucleus of psychic reality. From a dynamic point of view, we present how incestuous love needs to be repressed in the girl and how the feeling of guilt arises as a result of this unconscious-conscious transit. The economic factor was also highlighted from the presentation of the positions (passivity-activity) that the female assumes in relation to the object of desire that will be synthesized in terms of the hypothesis of this investigation. On the other hand, the literary bias made it possible to advance theoretically in Freud's formulations on the feminine, to the point where the feminine erotic act was perceived through two singular responses, one by the writer Anne Cécile Desclos and the other by the character “O”. Thus, we read in the passivity of both erotic productions that seek creative solutions for the passion of the feminine. Thus, the research allowed us to conclude that female masochism can be thought of as a device by Eros, both to capture male fantasy and to become a woman, since behind the passive position, there is considerable activity on the part of the woman .

  • The purpose of this master thesis was to identify successful teachers actions that, somehow, contributed to people with functional diversity starting college. The research aimed to investigate and understand pedagogical practices and/or attitudes of educators that were crucial for people with functional diversity, in regard of their inclusion, learning and development from primary to tertiary education level. We carried out semi-structured interviews with eight people with functional differences and six teachers. The teachers we interviewed were nominated by people with functional differences as references of inclusion. In order to analyze the results, we used the Content Analysis. The categories of analysis verified were: Teacher Attitudes and Strategies, Family Support and Extra-Class Activities. We identified that interpersonal relationships between students and teachers have specific characteristics that favored the inclusion. There is an affective belief on the part of the teacher, directed at the student, which is substantial in this process, making these students feel capable of learning and going to the tertiary education level. In addition, when the teachers attention is directed to the student potential, their actions and strategies lead to the student development in a significant way. This researched showed that inclusion is a process to be built in the class room, and the student with functional difference is one of the main allies for the educator to produce methods and strategies. Furthermore, the identified actions in the teacher's performance are primarily focused on student learning, reflecting positively on their results, and consequently, confirming the teacher's emotional belief, besides to reflecting on the person's own self-perception of people with functional difference. Finally, the presence of the family and extra-class activities were variables that contributed to this process.

  • The research presented here is the result of challenges and impasses that emerged in the work of listening to children and teenagers that live in an institutional home, removed from family life for being exposed to situations of physical and psychic helplessness, violence, negligence, and other forms of rights violations. We use psychoanalytic theory as the theoretical framework that guides the listening of children and teenagers. Psychoanalysis, in its institutional insertion, proposes a listening of the subject of the unconscious, which manifests itself under transference; in return, the institution is concerned with the subject of rights in its condition as a citizen. Taking this tension into account, we refer to the concepts of subject and transference as conceptual premises to think about psychoanalytic listening and about the analyst’s insertion and contribution in the institution. Departing from these considerations, the question that guides us is how transference can contribute to the establishment of a listening that will allow the elaboration of the vulnerability situation of these subjects. That way, the work of listening under transference is present in this research as a possibility of operating on the singular in the interior of the universal of the institution. Therefore, the Individual Care Plan (PIA), an important tool proposed in the technical guidance for children and teenagers shelter services, can be used by psychoanalysts that eventually work there, starting from listening under transference. As the research method, we use bibliographic review associated with applied psychoanalysis and we turn to the fragments of memory of lived situations in the institutional daily life. We concluded that there is a place of listening under transference to be taken into consideration in the institution; there is also a psychoanalyst expertise, departing from that listening, that allows something to be transformed, allowing the PIA, upon being accomplished under transference, to be a tool that values the emergence of the singularities of the sheltered.

  • The discussion about drugs, their usage and consequences, have been issue of hot debates in the last decades, becoming fundamental to understand crucial aspects that permeate our current society. Drug Addiction have been considered ordinarily a serious trouble in health as well as security, passing through moral, religious, economic questions. Exposed this, some manners of treatment have been worked: hospitalizations in psychiatric institutions, therapy communities, mutual help groups, psychological  and  medical  treatment  and,  more  recently, Damage Reduction Strategies. Damage Reduction Strategies have the object of reducing the damages coming from drug abuse and supply better life quality of drug users even not interrupting consumption. Thereby, this research arises with the purpose of investigating the possible linkages between harm reduction strategies and psychoanalysis, taking into account the current political context, in which the different advances achieved in the care of drug addicts, especially with the practices of harm reduction has been suppressed by a prohibitionist policy aimed only at the subject's abstinence, in addition to the profound dismantling of mental health policies in the country, such as the loss of resources and the prioritization of other strategies. Therefore, it is discussed the formation of prohibitionist paradigm in relation to drugs, whose conceptions set the manners in which the treatments and laws are constituted according to historical facts around their consumption. The Psychiatric Reform is introduced for its relevance to produce changes in the way of considering a mental disease, including alcohol and other drug users that suffered along the history many several types of bad treatments, have been submitted inhuman conditions of survival. Moreover, new perspectives placed by Psychiatric Reform enabled ideas, such as Damage Reduction, that could be thought and used in the country. After this, it was discussed Damage Reduction Strategies according to its outbreak, its conceptions and possibilities to care and attention of individuals who use alcohol and other drugs. Toxicomanie was understood according to psychoanalysis theory, therefore, it was considered discussions about psychoanalysis diagnosis and the discussion about three main concepts: symptom, repetition compulsion and libido, it was abstracted important considerations about the theme. In conclusion, it was introduced possible articulations between Psychoanalysis and Damage Reductions, their approaches and divergences and what measures could add to drug addicts care based on a first approach associated to drugs abstinence.

  • The present thesis investigates the practice of medicalization as well as the effects of current discourses on the production of symptoms in contemporary times. It aims at questioning whether medicalization is a discursive production or whether it operates on behalf of a specific apparatus. For this, a qualitative bibliographical research was carried out, combined with cartography as a multicomponent method. The research was based on the following keys: subject of the clinic and medication as a social object; subject and gadgets in the consumer society; what a medication is; standardized diagnostics; health as an object of consumption; capitalist discourse, apparatus and performance. The conclusion is that the practice of medicalization operates in favor of capitalist discourse. It is a theme that needs further study, as it directly reflects on new forms of presenting symptoms and how the subject positions himself in relation to that discursive production. This research is not intended to present a definitive response to the theme, but rather contribute with possibilities of insights so that new studies may come.

  • Brazilian psychiatric reform has led to more humanized practices making up the field of mental health care, which includes the demand for alcohol and other drugs. The Center for Psychosocial Care for Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAPSad, in Portuguese) is a specialized service to meet this demand, and is based on precepts of anti-asylum and extended clinical care. Although documents that guide the specialized service, these services do not cover all the Brazilian municipalities currently. In municipalities whose population is less than 70 thousand inhabitants, CAPS for general care (when available) are responsible for the treatment of different mental health clients. In the face of the current scenario, of setbacks in public policies, shortage of devices and chroniform care practices, we sought to understand support relationships for alcohol and other drugs users within a multiprofessional team working in a CAPS-I in a medium-sized municipality. The current study is a qualitative research and was composed of a focus group and participant observations, from which it was possible to identify aspects that characterize the movement of professionals working in the service to receive the aforementioned demand. The results indicate that the team works in a fragmented way, without articulation with the users territory and with prioritization of individual and outpatient actions to the detriment of collective and community actions. Support takes place with centrality in medical interventions and the different specialties of the team at times only coexist. Regarding the central issue of the study, there does not seem to be any plan or execution of specific activities for the population with needs arising from the use of alcohol and other drugs, which indicate a need to review how psychosocial assistance network (RAPS) devices work to accommodate different demands properly. Emphasis is given to the importance of investing in strategies for ongoing health education, clinical and institutional supervision, and others that allow the work to take place on the lines of the extended clinic and approach the idea of transdisciplinarity.

  • In this work, we seek to follow the theme of Internet Dependence and the construction of competing arguments that support this phenomenon. For the actor-network theory (TAR), our theoretical-methodological approach, any phenomenon can be understood from the follow-up of the actors -human and non-human -in the network that constitutes it. Because it is a controversial topic, that is, where there is no consensus among scholars and specialists in the field, it is a privileged moment to witness the associations that are established, as well as the diversity and multiplicity that characterize the possible dependence. We opted for a narrative text structure with the intention of counting different versions of Internet Dependence, and for this we linked what was found in the literature review with the personal experiences posted by users in social networks. We were able to map and describe how the arguments of this controversy were articulated. We have verified that there is no definite position on the existence or not of dependence and that the idea of a relationship between men and machines, underthe watchful eye of the TAR, would enable new understandings about the use of the Internet. Since the actors interact and change constantly, all the affirmations and reflections brought by this work offer a provisional stabilization of the phenomenon investigated and do not have the pretense of standardizing behaviors or pathologizing the use.

  • The objective of this study was to verify if the intergroup contact with people with functional 11 differences (term used to replace "deficiency") impacted the conceptions of deficiency of future managers. In order to contextualize the theme, the discussions on the social model / diversity of disability, on the conceptions of disability as a psychosocial parameter and on the theory of intergroup contact were used. The study had a quantitative and qualitative nature, being carried out with a sample of 196 university students from the last five periods of the Production Engineering and Administration of a Private Faculty. It was concluded that intergroup contact, coming from a greater social interaction and friendship with PcDF, mainly in socially valued contexts, such as the university, becomes positive, promoting more inclusive conceptions of the disability which allows the reduction of prejudices and discrimination , facilitating their inclusion in society

  • A investigation about what would be localized in jouissance-God gap have your origins in freudien elaborations and clinical unfolding until the last teaching of Lacan. Each one of the principal points of this research was interrogate considering the Lacan question, in chapter VI – God and The Woman’s Jouissance, Seminar XX – Encore (1972-73), says: “And why don’t interpret a face of Other, a face of God, like suported by feminine jouissance?” This task’s objective was study the Lacan’s provocation about what approximate The Feminine Jouissance and The Face of God, based in XX Seminar. Searched too to discuss about the epistemological area where is localized: contingency God in Freud and the face of God in Lacan, showing a inovation of feminine jouissance concept, and an elaboration about the gap perspective what exist between the feminine jouissance and God’s nomination, in Lacan. So, was explained about the first point of this research: The (not) relation with God in psychoanalysis. We started in Lacanian aphorism: “There isn’t sexual relation”. In trajectory of this task, was used the notion of contingency for to designate the faulty meet from Freud with God, with the religious experience and with the religion. Was veified your appointments about this theme and was detached the text who concentrade these questions: The Future of a Ilusion and Moses and The Monotheism. About the freudien interrogation about what is a father, we found a bascule moviment with Lacan’s review. So, we extract from Seminars the Lacanian approaching from God category. The second point analyzed in this research was: the feminine in psychoanalysis. From unique sex at sexual difference is an introductory excursus for the question of feminine, and an approximation at state of question in Freud’s times. The investigation about the feminine sexuality in Freud and the sexuation in Lacan was articulated through the concept’s permutation with the feminisms in each epoch. Approaching a singular jouissance of parlêtre according to the sexuation of the board, an association conducted at an exam of mystic jouissance and mystic psychotic delirium. For this, was elected two cases to demonstrate the diferences between mystic jouissance and psychotic delirious jouissance. In the last chapter was proposed an experiment articulation entitled: Feminine Jouissance Like a Littoral from God’s Face. Started from nomination notion, where the name circumscribe something from real, try to situate the discussion in the last teaching of Lacan, opening a new conceptual arc: from satisfaction to jouissance in teaching of Lacan. Writed, still, in this task, about the ligation between the significant and the jouissance, the all phalic logic and non-all phalic logic, this like a new ambit inherent at feminine in psychoanalysis, who appoint for a littoral topology and yours implications for psychoanalytic clinic.

  • This dissertation is the result of an investigative research on the genesis of the concept of amplification in the work of Carl Gustav Jung. It presents a general course of the theorist, from his departure from psychoanalytic theory, until his encounter with Alchemy, offering an overview of the importance of this philosophy of the Middle Ages in the elaboration of a proper method of investigation of the unconscious psyche. In the meantime, there is a discussion about the production of the Red Book, a singular work among Jung's writings - for being considered the source of all his future work -, emphasizing the concept of amplification as something inherent, for the process of writing the book, and for its importance for the realization of the self-experimentation that the latter represents. Hereafter, working on the conceptual definition of amplification, the dissertation has a chapter in which the latter is presented in its aspects of comparative mythology, proximity to the so-called archetypal images and similarity with alchemical praxis. Regarding the latter, the concept of amplification stands out and its equivalence to the method of circumambulation in Alchemy, establishing a parallel of how Jung understands this alchemical method within his proposal of psychology. Finally, the research ends by differentiating the synthetic-constructive method of interpretation of contents of the unconscious psyche, of the causal-reductive method, using descriptive and illustrative examples, placing the concept of amplification as an essential part of the synthetic process of analysis.

  • This work emerges from the empiric and theoretical perception that it would exist, in Psychosocial Attention Centers (Centros de Atenção Psicossocial - CAPS), an attempt of tamponade of the discontent (social antagonism) that psychosis embodies through the stand taken, which has fundamentally superego features in the professional of mental health. The premise, in this case, is that the substitutive services are overarched by ideological mechanisms of control and social reproduction – as well as any institutions – that presuppose the formation of unreachable ideas of healing; it brings, consequently, the emergence of imperatives as expression of requirements derived from these ideals, which are: an ideal of inclusion, derived from the presupposes underlying the political movement that instituted the CAPS; and an ideal of normality, effect of the actual psychiatric ―paradigm‖ with a organicist bias, which has been predominant in the daily life of these services. This way, in a first moment, we intend to establish the conceptual basis for the following discussion, exploring what would belong to the scope of a metapsychology of the psychosis, from Sigmund Freud up to Jacques Lacan. Afterward, we intend to map the political and clinical effects of the presence of power mechanisms framed by identified ideals of cure, assuming that the consequences in these two fields are, ironically, tributary of their dissociation inside the service itself; dissociation, as we have seen, that tends to the suppression of the clinic. In an attempt to think about a rearticulation, the metapsychology appeared as a privileged mediator, in order to allow us to perform a critic that aims both of sides, that is: clinic and politic. With this, we aim to contribute to the establishment of a possible political-clinic, whose statute would be an instituting reflection, besides the already instituted (and reproduced) relation between psychosis and the CAPS. We aim, this way, the tensioning of the institutional task of social transformation with the attention that is supposed to be given to the subjects in their singularity. Stated that our objective is an institution, we adopted, as theoretical and methodological orientation the psychoanalysis in extension (also known as applied psychoanalysis), without ignore the contributions of other fields of knowledge.

  • Adolescence is the peak age for the development of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), causing suffering in the individuals' lives and presenting a chronic course. In international and national studies, its prevalence varied from 1.6 to 23.12% among the adolescents, being considered a serious mental health problem. This study aimed to verify the associations between the occurrence of indicators of SAD, the behavioral repertoire of social skills and the self-esteem levels of teenagers. The sample was composed by 213 adolescents, from 15 to 17 years old, students from 2 public schools of a municipality of Minas Gerais, who answered 4 measurement instruments: Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), Social Skills Inventory for Adolescents (IHSA-Del-Prette), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and a sociodemographic questionnaire. A high prevalence of indicators of SAD was observed among the adolescents (48,8%). The teenagers rated with SAD portrayed significantly lower frequency scores and significantly higher scores of difficulty in the transmission of social skills, besides lower self-esteem, compared to those without the disorder. The variables "father's schooling", "difficulty in the transmission of social skills", "frequency of the transmission of affective approach skills" and "difficulty in the transmission of social resourcefulness" were shown to be predictors of the disorder. The results indicated that the chance of an adolescent fulfilling the ratings of SAD will be smaller the more elaborated his/her overall repertoire of social skills, and will be bigger the greater the cost of response and anxiety experienced in the performance of social skills and the lower the degree of self-esteem. This study allows a reflection on the occurrence of indicators of SAD in adolescents and extends the knowledge in the area, especially regarding the relationship with social skills and self-esteem. The obtained results can serve as reference for the planning of preventive measures and intervention with adolescents affected by the disorder, aiming to improve the quality of life of these individuals. The analysis of the results points to the need for new research with larger samples that investigate the role of social anxiety as moderator of the relationship between SAD and social skills deficit.

  • This study aims to elucidate how nonimputability presents itself as antinomy in relation to subjective responsibility. In this course, we will tension the legal and psychoanalytic fields, defining terms and concepts relevant to both fields, testing, thus, limits and conceptual differences. To this end, we will refer to the Brazilian Laws codes in search of understanding what nonimputability is. So, too, we reference in Freud and Lacan, for the understanding of what subjective responsibility is. Along the way, we present, in the first instance, the legal landscape nonimputability in Brazil, clarifying, also, the origins of this legal procedure. Later, we explicit articulation of the crime with psychoanalysis, placing its importance for understanding the social and subjective constitution, clarifying how the aggressiveness has been active in such constitutions. Finally, we treat, specifically, the notion of subjective responsibility introduced in psychoanalysis by Lacan , demonstrating how the unaccountability of nonimputability is a paradox to the subjective responsibility. To this end, we work concepts like Superego as a crime booster, as well as passage to the act while subjective response. Defending, in this way, the possibility of response of the subject against the act committed, as a means of subjective and social rectification, allowing in this way, the restructuring of the social bond.

  • This paper aims to illustrate how government action "Alliance for Life", the State of Minas Gerais was deployed and how its creation reflected in the composition of drug policies in that State and national reality, producing contextual interference in creating this action in both areas, state and national. To carry out this study, we use the case study method through the document search and legislation and conducting interviews with representatives of different segments involved in the creation and implementation of action in the state. For the analysis of the interviews, we used Foucault's discourse analysis method, which allowed us to understand the formation of the speech of respondents and at the same time, identify the context that allowed the preparation and creation of these speeches in state, local aspects and sites. We could observe that the production of the interviews corresponds to the elaboration of context thereof, possibiltando realize then that the creation of the action brought consequences of legal and social order. In this sense, the creation and implementation of government action proved congruent to historical, political and social moment in which the Brazilian and mining companies are in a period of discussion and clash between conflicting issues such as minimizing state participation in sectors social; the use of public-private partnerships as a State strategy; the legalization of marijuana and the return of admissions to treatment strategy.

  • Dyslexia International Association (2007) estimates that between 15 to 20% of the population, worldwide, has experienced one or more symptoms of dyslexia. Despite the significant number of school age children with reading difficulties, studies show a lack of dissemination and application of the scientific findings about reading and dyslexia (e.g. Dehaene, 2012). Studies also find gaps in the teachers knowledge about dyslexia and associated difficulties (e.g. Moats, 1994; Washburn, et al, 2011) and suggest that teachers, to help their students, need a better understanding of basic constructs of the language (e.g. Moats, 1994), reading comprehension (Snow et al, 2005) and an understanding of the nature of reading problems such as dyslexia (e.g. Cantrell et al, 2012). The goal of this study was to survey teacher’s knowledge of dyslexia, linguistic constructs and phonology of Brazilian Portuguese and teaching methods; causes of dyslexia and appropriate interventions and to understand which sociodemographic factors are associated with a better understanding about dyslexia and phonology. Two hundred and fourteen teachers and educators of children between four and ten years of age from the public system of São João del Rei (Minas Gerais, Brazil) participated in this study. The instruments used were a survey that evaluated teacher’s knowledge of dyslexia (Washburn, et al. 2011), a survey about basic linguistic constructs of Brazilian Portuguese, an open ended survey about reading teaching methods, and an sociodemographic survey. The study pointed gaps in teacher’s knowledge about dyslexia, linguistics and teaching methods. We discuss possible implications of such findings.

  • This research aims to study Vigotski’s appropriation of the humboldtian philosophy of language in his theory of the relation between thought and language. We started from the consideration of the importance of Humboldt’s philosophy for the establishment of social and human sciences, since when considering language in its constitutive dimension of thought, Humboldt’s philosophy lays the groundwork for a paradigmatic change within the philosophy. That paradigmatic change indicates that the study of a people’s language can be the key to understand the different process of thinking. We assume the basic presupposition that the process of knowledge production is a collective, dynamic and creative activity, in which the notion of appropriation plays a central role. In this direction, it is possible to indicate that the process of appropriation corresponds to a movement of reconstruction, at the individual level, empirical and theoretical elements already objectified in culture and, in this manner, the subject who appropriates something takes a place of creation. In this understanding, we consider that Vigotski’s perspective about the relationship between thought and language is the result of a creative activity and, in this sense, goes beyond the boundaries of the theoretical and philosophical assumptions that shape its bases. This work is, therefore, a theoretical study in which we seek to highlight the vigotskian appropriation of some constituent aspects of the humboldtian idealistic and expressivist philosophy, making explicit the reconfiguration of these assumptions from the epistemological ground of dialectal materialism of Marx and Engels. To develop this analysis, we set from readings of Humboldt’s work, in which he defines his conception of language and from which we built the central categories of its formulations. We also seek some contributions from researchers of Humboldt’s philosophy that discuss its epistemological aspects and makes possible the understanding of Humboldt’s formulations in its totality. Thereafter, we assumed as methodological strategy the pursuit of explicit and implicit references to the humboldtian philosophy within Vigotski’s works about the relation between thought and language. Once the vigotskian appropriation of Humboldt’s philosophy was conditioned by dialectical materialism, it was also necessary a research of the epistemological and methodological bases of Vigotski’s writings and, thus, we try to expose the reconfiguration of some elements of the humboldtian’s philosophy within Vigotski’s perspective. The analysis undertaken in this research allowed the visualization of Humboldt’s philosophical roots within Vigotski’s theory, since the soviet psychologist assumes that language constitutes the thought and, further, understands the relationship between thought and language in its procedural and dynamic dimension. However, it was also possible to observe moments in which vigostikian’s perspective departs from Humboldt formulations, when arguing about the origin of language, as well as arguing about his understanding of language as a social and objectified practice. In this sense, it is possible to state that Vigotski’s theory about the relation between thought and language surpasses dialectally the contributions of Humboldt and manifests itself as a coherent theoretical and methodological perspective.

  • From the new configuration proposed by the psychiatric reform, the substitute andmental health care services became a focus relative to the psychiatric treatment provided in this country. Therefore, they became object of study, and consequently, beginning point to many national modifications of this movement. So,incentive policies were created to increase the social assistance services to receive psychiatric patients, until then, institutionalized for a long time.Therapeutic Residential Service (TRS) emerged as an important component of mental health policiesfrom Ministry of Health. Because of the need to understand the process of implementation of these services, this master’s project aim to investigate the history of the implementation process of Therapeutic Residential Service in Psychosocial Care Network from Barbacena/MG, using the perspective of the workers involved in this process. This is a qualitative study of intentional sampling, which was obtained by the criteria established by the snow-ball technique. The strategy chosen as a possible approach was the biographical method of life history, used as a narrative of significant cases. To select the participants for interviews, was emphasized their participation in the context of psychiatric reform in this city, during the period that extends from patients’ exit from psychiatric hospitals to their insert in mental health substitute services and in the TRS. Interview analysis occurred through three stages: transcription, textualizationand transcreation. We understood that professional’s personal experiences were important to concretize the work in Therapeutic Residential Service in the city. We noticed a strong affective involvement in workers narratives in relation to the activity they exercise and/or exercised. In general, we consider that the results presented in this study demonstrated great advances with the transposition of the mental health care to the substitute services’ implantation, in special, the implementation of Therapeutic Residential Service.

  • Public Institutions has the mandatory for the insertion of people with a disability according to the Statutory requirement from 8112/90 Law. The unknowledge of these people’ potentiality is recurrent in the Organizations and it’s necessary the analyses and management of conditions of PwD’s insertion at these Organizations. According with Sassaki (2003) there are barriers that prevent the PwD’s inclusion and it can be divided in six dimensions: architectural, communicational, methodological, instrumentals, programmatical and attitudinal. The main objective of this research was to verify the relation between the attitudinal barriers and the socialization organizational process of these people. For this, it has been built and validated the Inventory of Atitudinal Barriers answered by people with disabilities (IAB – PwD), an instrument which identifies the PwD’s perception related to attitudinal barriers faced in the workplace. The factorial analyses has indicated the existence of two factors and the results has indicated the instrument’s validity and reliability. The research adopted the qualitative and quantitative model, and it has been realized with 7 City Hall located in Campo das Vertentes totalizing 17 PwD participants. It has been applied two instruments IAB – PwD and IOS – Inventory of Organizational Socialization (Borges, Silva, Melo, & Oliveira, 2010) and the interviews has been summited to content analyses. It has been demonstrated by the results that PwD surveyed has achieved good results in the organizational socialization factors and hesitant results related to attitudinal barriers. It has been demonstrated the high magnitude of correlations between the IOS and IAB – PwD, evidencing that the perception of attitudinal barriers by the PwD affects the adaptation to the work and vice versa. The research by Cluster Analyses has allowed to verify the existence of two standards of attitudinal barriers’ perception and organizational socialization’s perception which were divided between the More Adapted cluster with 11 members and the Less Adapted Cluster with 6 members. It concludes that the investigated Institutions don’t favor the inclusion, since they provide the mere insertion through individual and informal strategies of organizational socialization, leaving the task of the organizational socialization process to the PWD themselves. This fact might increase attitudinal barriers of the other people towards these publics’ work potentials.

  • This research, conducted in the Master Program in Psychology at the Federal Universityof São João del-Rei (PPGPSI/UFSJ/MG), investigated the playfulness and itsimplications for identity and affectivity of institutionalized elderly. In the literaturereview, it was sought historical information regarding as and when began theinstitutions to care for the elderly, worldwide and in Brazil, and predications that havebeen attributed to them over time in socio-institutional discourses. The research workwas conducted by means of analyzes of partial and final reports of extension trainees atUFSJ, films and photographs that were made within a extension project of Lapip/UFSJinto two Long-term Care Institutions in the region of Campo das Vertentes/MG, Brazil. This material was rescued, organized and filed. We sought in the writing by the traineesand in the images the discourse of elderly relative to the playful situations, as well as theimplications of playfulness over rescuing their individual identities, expressions ofaffection and construction of a collective identity. The results showed that institutionsfor the aged tend to curtail these manifestations and possibilities of identity recovery. There remains a stigmatized view of aging and of identity of the elderly. The directionsof the institutions describe their action as host and care, but are guided by philanthropyand idealize the role of the institution as a home. The elderly find, in playful activities, aspace to rescue their life history, their individual identity and to articulate themselves asa group, seeking the construction of a collective identity.

  • Due to psychiatric deinstitutionalization process, families have become the main caregivers
for their patients. This change has meant a shift in the way families participate in providing
care for mentally ill persons, but challenges found while performing the role of caregivers
have contributed to a feeling of burden from their part. Several international studies
investigated the factors associated with family burden. However, some variables are still
poorly studied, such as the influence of caregiver's relatives in the feeling of burden,
particularly. With the aim of filling this gap, the present research investigated and
compared both objective and subjective burden felt by three different kinds of caregivers,
being 30 parents, 30 siblings e 30 spouses of psychiatric patients. These members
participated in structured interview sessions in which the Family Burden Interview
Schedule (FBIS) was applied. The most frequent activities played by the three groups were
those related to patient assistance in everyday tasks, and supervising patients' troublesome
behaviors appeared as the worst source of discomfort for caregivers. Results also show that
groups had no significant differences in neither global scores for objective and subjective
burden or sub-scale scores. Nevertheless, the analysis of each one of the scale items
separately demonstrated that the parents cooked and advised the patient to occupy his/her
free time more often than the siblings. Additionally, the discomfort from having to go
shopping and the impression caused by the weight of expenses were bigger for parents than
for siblings. Comparitively to spouses, parents dealt more frequently with patients'
aggressive behaviors, had more expenses with them, and were also more worried about
their future. Spouses showed more burden than siblings only when the impression caused
by the expenses they had with the patient was compared. Therefore, this research found
some differences among caregivers as for the feeling of burden, suggesting a need for an
intervention planning that considers peculiarities of every kind of caregiver. The lack of
studies comparing burden among different groups of caregivers posed a limit for
discussing results found. It is therefore necessary to increase research activity on this topic.
