Non-Suicidal Self Injury and Rite of Passage
The purpose of this project is to reflect on the relationship between the practice of non-suicidal self and rites of
passage. Self-injury has been a matter of concern and debate, given the number of cases that come to the clinic
with this complaint. Compulsive acts are described as psychopathological symptoms. The subject will be
approached, however, from the understanding of non-suicidal self injury as an emulation of a rite in which the
passage is not carried out, becoming compulsive, based on the collective shadow, that is, archetypal.
