The Development of the Transference Concept in the Collected Work of C.G. Jung
transference, analytical psychology; Jung.
Transference is a central phenomenon to clinical psychological work and the work of C.G. Jung presents a very complex, sometimes contradictory, conceptualization to address this issue. Considering that the analysis of the construction of a concept contributes greatly to its understanding and the phenomena it addresses, the project aims to research the development of the concept of transference in Jung's Complete Work. The methodology used is Jean Piaget's historical-critical epistemology for theoretical research. Based on Jung's assumptions and its historical context, all the mentions that the author makes to transference phenomena, from 1905 to 1963, will be analyzed, seeking the modifications and maturation of the concept.
