SUMMARY:

This study aimed to identify the perspectives of early intervention that are present in national articles and in Brazilian documentary and governmental productions, verifying the variety of perspectives that underlie them, the main themes and the evolution, over time, of a perspective child-centered approach to a more contextual and family-centered approach. To this end, an integrative systematic review of the literature was carried out. The search for works took place in two phases, in the first, the SciVerse Scopu and CAFe (Periodical Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES) databases were consulted electronically; in the second, a survey was carried out through the Snowball methodology, which uses reference chains, searching the references cited in each of the articles collected in the first phase. 86 publications were found that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria proposed here. The results found in this work point in the direction of what we find in clinical practice in different Brazilian services. The data highlights that there is no single early intervention model or program for children at risk or with developmental delays. Nor is there a uniform perspective between the theoretical currents and interventions in clinical practices found. In conclusion, we note the importance of supporting this knowledge and developing practices based on evidence and with characteristics that can be used as a reference for professionals and families to evaluate and help make decisions for a more effective practice.
