SUMMARY:

The present work consists of an analysis through the graphic novel called The Arab From the Future – A Journey through the Middle East (1978-1984), by the French-Syrian writer Riyadh Sattouf, published for the first time in Brazil in 2015, from the characters through the studies of postcolonialism and the consequences arising from the colonial project of domination cultural, political and economic. The research will use citations of images to highlight the path taken by the Sattouf family, highlighting the colors and symbols that are related to each country where live. As you read the work, you can see the color changes in each chapter due to the displacement of the Sattoufs to different countries, when they are in France the comics in blue, while in Libya in yellow and in Syria in pink.
