A discursive analysis of feminist cries in Latin America (2015–2020)
eywords: Discursive formula. Collective cry. Crowds of women. Feminism. Latin America.
This work aims to analyze discursive formulas (KRIEG-PLANQUE, 2010) circulated in feminist manifestations in Latin America between the years 2015 and 2020, such as “Ni Una A Menos”, “Ele Não”, “Nunca Más Sin Nosotras”. The first chapter aims to map founding and reproducing practices of the patriarchal order, having as a perspective the relationship between discourse, processes of production of meaning and sociologically defined conditions of production (HENRY, 1993). The second chapter contains an evaluation of the feminist movements in the three countries studied, focusing on addressing the political and social factors that constitute them and how they oppose the patriarchal violence prevalent in these territories (GAGO, 2020). The third chapter presents a discussion of the discursive formula category and proposes its rereading considering the concepts of “collective cry”, according to Modesto (2018) and “crowd”, from the elaborations of Virno (2013). Finally, the fourth chapter holds an analysis of the cries of Latin American feminist movements. Therewith, the work will contribute to debates on collective cry in Latin American contexts.
