This essay ains to ivestigate the teaching of History inside the brasilian military academy: AMAN- Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras. Mainly based in two types of sources – the analisys of a book used as a toll to assist the class of “Brasilian military history “ entitled “Introduction to Brasilian military history” and a series of final papers produced by the army cadets in formation – here we will explore the study of historical narratives within the military academy.
