“MARGINAL VOICES”: THE FORMATION OF THE ARRAIAL OF CAQUENDE AND FAMILY TRAJECTORIES (1850-1960)

The main objective of this work is to analyze aspects related to the memory of people from the village of Caquende, in relation to its formation as a region. The community is located in the municipality of São João del Rei. From the intersection of information from various sources such as notebooks, name lists, post-mortem inventories, wills and interviews, the investigation recomposes part of the history of the region for the period of the 19th century, focusing on the trajectory of one of the main families Of region. It examines the formation, the development of the community, reaching into the 20th century. Thus, the research aims to contribute to the historical reconstitution of the formation of communities on the banks of the Caminho Velho near the Rio Grande.
