Student representation in basic education: a case study of a public school in Minas Gerais

The present research aims to carry out a study on student representation in basic education, focusing our gaze on the relationship that is built between representatives and represented. We seek to analyze the experiences lived from this place of political participation of the students and their potential. For this, we present the justifications for the choice of the theme, as well as the theoretical framework that supports it. We seek to discuss the concept of political representation and how it has been worked in academia. Next, we elucidate aspects of student representation in Brazil, focusing on the policies of the State of Minas Gerais. At the end, we describe the methodological course, the research subjects and we propose an analysis of the data built in a field school through the case study methodology.
