GUIDANCE, SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CANNABIS-BASED PRODUCTS TO SERVICE MEMBERS WHO HAVE THERAPEUTIC INDICATION
hemp oil, CBD, Associations
The number of Associations that aim to cultivate Cannabis sativa has increased in Brazil and the participation of teaching and research institutions is essential to help in the proper use of these medicines. The relevance of having effective and safe products for patients is one of the principles of this project. This study aimed to investigate, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire, the possible beneficial and adverse effects with the use of Cannabis oil in patients who belong to an association that has judicial authorization. At the end of the interview period, which was the first half of 2022 and the first half of 2023, 86 responses to the research instrument were obtained, which were within the inclusion criteria. The data obtained showed that the therapeutic effects were in equal proportions to the adverse effects reported by the patients. In general, C. sativa oil can cause a specific and individual reaction in each individual, either contributing to the optimization of the treatment of pathologies, as well as causing adverse effects. In view of the results obtained, it appears that there is a need for further studies with patients who use C. sativa oil to ensure the safety and efficacy of the products.
