Introduction: In February 2020, Brazil registered its first confirmed case of COVID-19, and the following month, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic. At the beginning of the pandemic, misinformation and fear became present in people's lives. Work from home gained prominence, and from that moment on, distance and the new reality led to an increase in people's symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Objective: To analyze the manifestation of affective disorders in patients who had COVID-19 in a municipality in the interior of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Method: Cross-sectional descriptive study using the web-based-survey interview technique with individuals who had COVID-19 infection. Results: Anxiety classification: 37.4% of participants at the Minimal level, 27.7% at the Mild level, 16.0% at the Moderate level, and 18.9% at the Severe level. Depression classification: 40.0% of participants at the Minimal level, 27.2% at the Mild level, 21.4% at the Moderate level, and 11.2% at the Severe level. Stress: The average score was 30.6 points. Conclusion: Sociodemographic information had the greatest impact on the manifestation of affective disorders. Formulation of prevention and treatment strategies

should be applied, emphasizing the need for awareness campaigns and access to psychological and psychiatric support for those who faced emotional difficulties during the pandemic period.
