Geography teaching. Pandemic. Teacher training
Teacher training is a relevant topic to be discussed in the social and academic scenario experienced with the Covid-19 pandemic. In view of this, the research investigates the adaptations that occurred to the modality of synchronous classes and possible reflections in the formation of geography teachers, in two federal universities of different states, the Federal University of the West of Pará in the city of Santarém - PA and the Federal University of São João Del-Rei, in the city of São João Del-Rei in Minas Gerais – MG. The objective is to understand how, in times of a pandemic, the organization of emergency remote teaching (E.R.E) at UFSJ and UFOPA for this period took place. And, to analyze the question of the conditions and alterations of the curricular units referring to Practices in the formation of geography teachers, based on the official documents that regulated these alterations for the period of the ERE and the theoretical discussion on the formation of teachers. For this, norms, federal and state resolutions and those issued by the two universities were considered, as well as the issue of Teacher Training, based on authors who discuss the teaching of geography, supervised internship, teaching knowledge or knowledge in the relevant literature. The qualitative, documental and case study research also included the analysis of the Pedagogical Plans of the undergraduate courses in geography at UFOPA and UFSJ, and the teaching plans of the professors, which are currently being analyzed.
