Art, Life and Politics - From Realism to Kasa Invisivel occupation, in Belo Horizonte.

Social movements, autonomous movements, Anti-Art, Squatters, Autonomism.

Kasa Invisivel is a social center organized from the occupation of a set of abandoned properties in Belo Horizonte, in the central region. It was born from a scene of social movements, composed of collective projects and initiatives, operating in the city since the late 1990s, at least. A good part of these projects and collectives are influenced by anti-art movements and the punk subculture. In this one, we investigate how artistic practices and crossings are present and active in Kasa Invisível and their influence on Kasa's daily life. Even, in this text, a description of the proposal was made, in addition to a historical line that rescues the relationship between art, life and politics, from the realist movement, in the 19th century, through the Dadaists, the Situationists. This line also crosses social movements such as the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, Ação Globals network, until it reaches Belo Horizonte and its autonomous projects, collective in the city since the late 90s. history of art, to follow the journey between us and the art of Kasa Invisivel.
