SUMMARY:

The present dissertation plan presents itself as a research about the counter-hegemonic possibilities in the artistic-theatrical-performatic practice in the midst of environmental catastrophe, seeking to study artistic processes that can be counter-hegemonic, common and ecological through its discourse (which seeks to thinking as a counterpoint to the oblivion generated by the catastrophe), conduction of the process (which seeks to break with the structures of capital) and aesthetic proposal (which calls into question the validity of the ways of life established by the current economic and social system). For this, concepts and technical/informative data were theoretically raised in order to explain the socio-political structure in which the environmental catastrophe is situated, as well as hegemonic tools of forgetting, denial and social erasure/invisibility, establishing a direct relationship with a theatrical/performatic practice that seek at their core to be a counterpoint to the capitalist system that perpetrates violence and rights. Based on these assumptions, I present four artistic works that arise in the midst of environmental catastrophe to analyze them as a counter-hegemonic possibility. Looking for new ways to collectivize and other possibilities of creation in the midst of catastrophe and climate change, I propose as the final object of this research the First Scenic Exhibition of Art and Climate Change, created through the Ecopoetics Laboratory (ECOLAB) of the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ) – MG, together with Professor Dr. Adilson Siqueira (supervisor of this dissertation), who seeks in its realization to create a space to share counter-hegemonic experiences and cultivate a meeting place between the community and collective production, so that it adds to the discussion of climate change and develops possibilities to dream with a life that is capable of transforming affections for oneself and for echoes.
