SUMMARY:

The CATIVA Project intends to develop, in two moments – immaterial and material – an ecopoetic spatiality based on bioconstructive techniques with bamboo in a geodesic pattern, artistically giving the zoomorphic shape of a bird that will be installed in the Campus Tancredo Neves (CTAN) of the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), in São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais. The first moment of the project endorses the mottos of the artist-researcher who, using cartographic autoethnography as a method, seeks to critically question the enclosures promoted by the hegemonic patriarchal system, the forms of production of unsustainable goods and services, the verticalization of spaces in counterpoint with to innovative ideas from Biodesign. For this, a bibliographic survey was generated that addresses the interdisciplinary intertwining of concepts about: Origin of Life, Sacred Geometry, Biomimicry, the “outlaw” Design, created by Richard Buckminster Fuller, as well as its foundations, cosmovision, philosophy and the contribution of his inventions to mankind. The second moment concerns praxis – bioconstruction and assembly of CATIVA. During this process, the aim is to disseminate ancestral knowledge and techniques from biodegradable organic matter: bamboo, to stimulate site-specific, artistic, collaborative and ecologizing interactions and interventions in an attempt to bring human beings closer to and reconnect with natural environments.
