SUMMARY:

From critical discussions on the Anthropocene Age in the Global South, the
respective academic work seeks to establish an interdisciplinary
interdisciplinary investigation involving Arts, Urbanities and Sustainability. Under
the point of view of a perspective that involves possible artistic practices
that somehow deal with the issue of land (telluric material) as a means of creative
creative expression and/or as a questioning of the presence of the human being
presence of the human being in contemporary space. From which, it has as a general objective to
to understand the ways in which the earth (telluric material) has been
approached, applied and incorporated in the production of Contemporary Art. In order to
this, a methodology was used, organized in principle in four stages
in four steps: 1 - the bibliographical review on the theme; 2 - the making of a cartography of
a cartography of artistic works that in some way deal
the established theme; 3 - the analysis of the works mapped in dialogue with the
the bibliographical review; and, finally 4 - the proposal of a curatorial
curatorial project. And that so far, it has been observed the recurrence and
notoriety of which the theme involved in the work has gained not only
as artistic practice of contemporary artists, but also of curatorial proposals of
curatorial proposals of institutions and events nationally and internationally.
Involving different artistic languages, scales, cultures, communities and
besides assuming a character that goes far beyond the poetic and critical, but rather
something really necessary and emergent.
