The therapeutic garden as a tool for well-being and development in times of pandemic: a case study with APAE-SJDR students
Functional disability; therapeutic garden; social inclusion; pandemic
The work aims at making therapeutic gardens in the home of children with functional disability, students from the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE), from the city of São João Del Rei, Minas Gerais. It is believed that the use of the garden will be a stimulus tool to promote well-being and development for these people. It will be carried out in homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused social distance, making it impossible the confection at school, however, promoting the involvement of families in an integral way. Therefore, parallel to this practice, the debates about what the pandemic has caused in the experience of these individuals and the theme of social inclusion (also contemplating the pre-pandemic scenario), will also be addressed.
