SUMMARY:

The study on the “Working mother in a Federal Institution of Higher Education and conciliation with the school monitoring of the children” has the general objective to investigate how the servants, of administrative technical position in a Federal Institution of Higher Education (IFES), deal in their daily lives in order to reconcile their children's school attendance with the tasks inherent to their work. As specific objectives, it will be described, through bibliographical research, the evolution of women in the labor market and, specifically, in the Brazilian market; to highlight, through bibliographical research, the difficulties of women in accompanying their children, in their school life, in the teaching and learning process, with reconciling a professional career; analyze the case of technical administrative servants in an IFES; and, propose criteria in regulations for remote or hybrid work that consider the specificity of working women in the school follow-up of their children in infancy. The research methodology will initially be guided by a bibliographical review and documentary research. Subsequently, it will be complemented by means of ethnographic records and semi-structured interviews envisioning the development of the proposed theme. The expected results show the identification of the challenges and possibilities of mothers who work in the institution of higher education in reconciling the school monitoring of their children, emphasizing after the analysis the construction of a normative proposal of remote or hybrid work so that the employees can follow the educational life of your kids.
