EVALUATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE SOCIAL ACADEMIC PROMOTION AID IN THE EVASION AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF THE INCOME QUOTAS OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF SÃO JOÃO DEL REI
Public policy. Assessment. University education. PNAES. Quota law.
To democratize public higher education in Brazil, public policies aimed at access and permanence were implemented. The quota law that guarantees a reserve of places in the Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES) and the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES) aimed at expanding the conditions of permanence are examples of these contemporary policies that are implemented at the Federal University of São Paulo João del-Rei (UFSJ). The aim of this study is to assess whether the aid for socio-academic promotion from PNAES resources influenced the dropout and academic performance of income quota holders. A comparison of dropout and academic performance will be carried out between quota holders who have had and who have not had the assistance. Indicators used in the study by Cavalcanti (2016), in addition to the t-test, will be applied.
