Cenotechnical; cenotechnics; history of Brazilian theater; scene techniques and crafts
This project, developed within the scope of the Center for the Study of Techniques and
History, Politics and Scene Research Group Scene Offices
(NETOC / GPHPC / UFSJ) of the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts of
Federal University of São João del-Rei, supervised by Prof. Dr. Berilo Luigi
Deiró Nosella, proposes the investigation of the craft and the role of the cenotechnician in the city
from Sao Paulo. Based on the historical analysis of federal decrees and laws on
regulation of the technical category of show and entertainment productions and
analysis of bibliographic materials that present, even if briefly, the
technical function performed by cenotechnics professionals from the century
XX, the project seeks to understand this function in the present times and the construction
history of the formalization of this letter. Realizing the importance of self-definition
these professionals on the functions they perform, will be carried out
interviews with scenotechnicians from the city of São Paulo who had their careers
started in the 1970s - a period represented by law No. 6,533 / 78 that
regulates the professional categories of artists and technicians, which remains
recognized in current times - so that, based on its understanding, it will be possible to
relate to the definitions analyzed in the legal and conceptual parameters of the
story.
