PHYSICAL AND POETIC SPACE: IDEAS FOR A PERFORMATIVE SCENOGRAPHY.

This study aims to present to the examining board, the report for the qualification exam, in the Master's course of the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of São João Del Rei, PPGAC-UFSJ. In this sense, discuss a performativity of the creative and evolutionary process of scenography in scenic spaces. Therefore, it carries out a brief historical survey of the area, in relation to the History of Brazilian Theater, from the political and social turmoil of the 1960s and, in parallel, a set of analyzes relating the theories and concepts of Richard Schechner and Josette Féral , characterizing what we call scenic performance by making a theoretical approach to how performance was applied and applied in Brazilian theater and consequently in scenography through the "breaking of the walls of theater buildings", in unusual places for the practice of theater performances, like squares, streets, churches, warehouses, museums. At the end, it is a constructivist proposal for a performative scenography, which highlights the creative process developed by the scenographer artist, in the approaches and creations of performative scenography, showing, at the same time, an evolution in the way of creating, thinking, developing and producing such scenographies.
