Legal Framework; Startup; Public Policy.
In the present study, from the recognition of the importance of micro/small companies in the socioeconomic bias and the technological advance that imposes the need for innovation, mainly promoted by startups, to guarantee the competitiveness and development of the economy, an attempt was made to better understand the appropriate public policies, especially from a legal point of view. The Legal Framework for Startups is part of this scenario, seeking to regulate the model of startups and innovative entrepreneurship, recognizing its relevance to align the Brazilian market with global development and aiming to adapt the legislative framework to technological developments. That said, the proposal was to present the main subjects and innovations dealt with in the aforementioned legal diploma, in addition to analyzing how public policies are important in promoting and consolidating these new business models and how these are essential for local economic development. The notes and proposed products have the potential to bring positive impacts to the various actors and environments that promote innovation, especially in the public sector.
