KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AS A VALUE ADDER TO THE ASSESSMENT OF GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN BRAZIL
management, quadrennial evaluation, CAPES
The evaluation of national postgraduate courses is an efficient process to maintain the quality of education and ensure the applicability of the results of scientific research developed by the professors and students who work in it. In Brazil, this process is controlled by CAPES, a government agency that monitors the programs, promotes and evaluates their development and social and international performance. The managers of graduate programs are responsible for making information relevant to the evaluation available, and they do so through the Sucupira Platform, a system developed by CAPES for this purpose. The objective of this work is to identify the way in which the managers of the great area of Administration collect and release the data, and to know the perception of these managers about the data collection process. The literature points out that the use of knowledge management tools and practices are essential to ensure effective program management, aiming at a good evaluation of the programs by CAPES.
