" Arquivo aberto: memórias que viram histórias": an autofiction perspective
Arquivo aberto - autoficction - biographical space - memory - photographic
The objective of this paper is to propose a discussion of the concepts of archive (DERRIDA, 2001),
biographical space (ARFUCH, 2010), autobiography (LEJEUNE, 2008; SOUZA, 2011), autofiction
(FAEDRICH, 2014) and photography (BARTHES, 2012; BENJAMIN, 2008) having as its corpus
the section “Arquivo Aberto – memórias que viram histórias” published in the Sunday culture
section “Ilustríssima” of Folha de São Paulo. Each report is accompanied by a digitized photo
image from the author's personal archive - photographs, dedications, drawings, notes and other
types of records, which allows us to think of these small narratives as self-written, which are also
constituted, as small fictions (BARTHES, 2012), such photos expose the fictional and fragmentary
character of these self-narratives as a autoficction practice.
